Its good to see Koei supporting the 360, but this looks kinda bland and well I wouldn't really call this next-gen. I'm starting to appreciate Ninety-Nine Nights now after seeing this haha

At first, I thought KOEI was out to make the 360 look bad when it released those two horrible PS2 ports for the 360. But now we can see they are also bringing this crap to PS3 also, we can see that the company is just a sham for boring generic crapfests like this.
btw, Fatal Intertia is being made by KOEI Canada in Toronto, so it took them forming an entire new team in a whole 'nother country before they got off the stupid dynasty warriors crap. This is one of those companies you just ponder how they are surviving....
So long as there are Dynasty Warrior fans, I doubt Koei is going anywhere :/ And who knows, maybe they'll actually improve the quality of their output in later games this generation, it's early yet and a lot of Japanese developers are just now really getting into next gen developement..
Some things get held back by their success, imo. If people let their guard down, sometimes a developers standards can drop quite a bit--if people become accepting of the same old things over and over, and they sell extremely well, it gives them less incentive to come up with innovative ideas. I think it's effected entire genres, even, the PC MMORPG market is filled with the same old crap largely because the community accepts it.
And while it's a different sort of game, yes team56th, Medieval 2 looks awesome. I'll have to snag that after Christmas.
Considering the source, I guess I've seen worse than Bladestorm. That's not saying it looks good, or anything :P

Anyway, a Dynasty Warriors kinda game would be kinda cool if KOEI tried a little harder and make better use of the new consoles' power. This just looks like a current-gen thing.
Yay another Dynasty Warrior game. Well hopefully it's going to be better than Ninety-Nine Nights and hoping that your AI buddies actually do something. Though besides that everything matches up with Dynasty Warriors. Might be worth a rental. I'll have to find out more about it.
I like the lighting effects in acouple of the pics. If this game was for free i would buy it! If it had random peasant pple (like in that one pic at the top of the 2nd row) running across the battlefield trying to flee, corpses that dont disappear so you have massive piles everywhere, no life guage to make it realistic (you die after 2 stabs, which would make it the first hack n slash game to have that ;o), and giants with little midgets on their shoulders commanding them to destroy everything with a huge cleaver, i would pay money !
