Xbox 360 PS3

Koei showcases its brand new Dynasty-Warrior-like, Bladestorm, with a bunch of twenty screenshots going from average to... worst. We certainly appreciate the rising interest of japanese publishers for next-gen, but I'm not sure these guys are really helping.

You can really see the UNLIMITED power of the PS3. I mean, those hexagonal arms alone will sell this game to the masses.

seeing as its on the 360 as well wouldn't it be showing off the incredible power of the 360 as well??? "we've already seen better stuff on the 360 to know its better than that!!!". we already have on the PS3 as well.

that having been said, honestly the only person who could think that those scream PS2 would have to be someone who has no ps2 and has never played or seen a ps2 game. or your just being a rabid nonsensical hater (the more likely answer). by no means is it the greatest looking game (but then again Koei's never been the most visually impressive of the japanese developers), but those being PS2 graphics?? hardly.

Its not about the power of the PS3 at all, its about talentless developers STILL NOT BEING TALENTED in next-gen. Emotion engines, reality synthesizers, networked PS3's reaching self-awareness like skynet and crying robot babies dont make games, developers do.

The more crappy and last-gen looking games released on the PS3 the better. It will take a mountain of crap to reach the solid gold pillar of hype that the PS3 sits on in the minds of fanboys and average consumers alike.

Welcome to the game. Still waiting on the European release to break the wall of BS over here too.

Just because they're Japanese doesn't mean they are brilliant gamedevelopers.. Some people tend to forget that, and think Japan is the holyland of gaming where nothing bad comes from..

PARALLAX MAPPING. Also, a game doesn't necessarily need them to look good.

i am aware of rare's amazing use of the parallax shader in all of their games, but i was referring to their use of normal mapping on the characters in kameo. and yes normal mapping makes all the difference. 100%

This game its coming out for xbox 360 too?, i see the game on the ps3 list, but i didnt noticed somenthing about 360 version, its to similar N3.

I don't like how they release games like this one for $60 on brand-new hardware. I can understand something like it coming out on PS2 for $20, but this is stupid. Aside from Dead Rising, I've yet to see a game that justifies being called next-gen. RE4 was more next-gen than Gears of War, for crying out loud, and that came out on Gamecube!

Koei is like the Acclaim of Japan. I don't know who the hell keeps these guys in business, they keep putting out the same crap over and over. This is just Dynasty Warriors in 720p. I'll pass.
