All we need now is the side game where we beat people up after we skate :).

Simulation skating game is exactly what I've been waiting for. After buying THP8 and being completely dissatisfied, I realized this was the kind of game I wanted. I found myself turning board speed in that game down to like 3 or 4 just to get more of a real skating feel like I wanted to experience.

LOL, just finished watching the gameplay, and this game looks PERFECT in terms of the feel I'm looking for when playing a skating game. I like how sometimes you slowdown after big stuff, and it's like "ok, time to look for the next part of the course I want to trick on" instead of just flying from place to place like a maniac.

Now, EA is not sucks xD

This one looks more realistic than TH to me and that is good. Looking forward for more gameplay movies.

Where are the people who said that this game won't look like the screens?
Skate is all i want! Excellent graphics, perfect motions and finally REALISM (you don't skate on with full speed after a grind or a slide and you don't make any 1080 triple hardflip combos).

Can't wait to play this game.............

Pleasantly surprised by how good that looks, I was one of those guys who said that it won't look as good as the screens and I still don't think it does but it does look nice!

If the game plays smoothly and the controls are done well then I will pick this up. I too have been looking for a more realistic skating game.

the trailer is low res, but even so, im still not seeing what everyone else is seeing in the gfx.

maybe to you, but not at all to me. Those screenshots look more like artworks than in-game, or renders. the texture detail is way too high and look at the lighting and shadows cast off of everything...Im not trying to pick out little crap, and pick at the game, but its just obvious.

Duh those aren't ingame! They're pre-rendered, and if you actually had hopes that it would look that good, then you need to wait another 10 years until we get to that level of graphical fidelity. What wipf360 showed as screens are indeed in-game. The time those pre-rendered shots you saw came out, EA had very little development done on the game, so they just pre-rendered an image and released it to press.

no i actually didnt expect it to look like the renders, i was saying that in a sarcastic way. Because developers like to release a bunch of bullshit pre-renders and call it "screenshots" so everyone thinks its in-game, because they dont specify that its not. And then when you see the actual game it doesn't come close. Its just a way to hype up their games greater than they are. And then releasing a super-low res video so you cant see how it really even looks. Screw it.

I agree, CockKnocker, they should release a HD version of this gameplay vid, but even on such a medium resolution, it comes off as probably the most beautiful next-gen sports game I've ever seen. The lighting and camera angle just stun me.

I'm just wondering why all or most of the guys who said that the first view seconds of ingame footage (the video on youtube) surely aren't ingame, didn't post a comment yet.

lol again I was one of those guys who said that the footage from that youtube trailer wasn't going to be what the end product will look like and I stand by that comment.
