GDC07: Blue Dragon images

Hinorobu Sakaguchi was at the GDC yesterday to present some of his works, and of course had a preview of the localized version of Blue Dragon to show during his presentation. This version is now planned for an August release in the US, with no firm date for us europeans so far. And the good news is that we will get a choice between japanese and english voices!
Update: Some site report a September release for Europe, but as far as I can tell there is nothing official. Also it seems that the european version will not have the japanese voices because of the different localizations for the numerous countries. Joy.

Japanese voices are the only way to go? French are to blame, as too germans, both want their games&movies dubbed.

I think they should release 2 PAL versions of every localized game... one general release for Europe (multi language), and one that only contains English options for an earlier release (containing original V/O work).
It's not likely that the US version will be region free, the Japanese one wasn't.

They are doing such a great job of showing off the game this time.

Nice choice of screens and there doesn't appear to be as many artifacts as were in the original screens that use to release for the game and its not as washed out. Even better they are tweaking the performance and the general look of the game.

Gah I hate that we have PAL here in sweden and need to wait way longer just become it need to be translated to some extra languages.... And get less functionality now from this game as well just being way to much.

I have yet to get a console game not in English... why should be always be punished for this.

Dubbing should be banned. I too hope, that it's region free, so that I don't have to settle with some inferior version of the game. Original voices are the only way to go. Period.

Thank God I'm in America. You Europeans get screwed too much I'm sorry to say.

What half witted european doesn't know english by now anyway? It's fucking archaic that we have to wait for ages to have every game sport italian, french and german VOICES, and on top of that have japanese removed! I mean come on!

If there's one thing blu-ray beyond any doubt contributes, it's the space to never, ever justify REMOVING content.

Europeans screwed once again. I wouldn't touch the dub with a 10-foot pole, no matter HOW good they say it is.

Well to be quite honest, I don't mind the FF12 dub at all, but that's like.. Dub like that never happens.. Ever. I'm not even sure the dub in that game is actually REAL.. it might be some kind of psychological defense mechanism.

Either way, if BD's voice work is that good (once the brain does its thing) I wouldn't mind it too much. But yeah, facing likely fact - it won't be.

dingleberry No. Possession and created chances are usually what dictates the result. Playing bollocks and scoring two goals from two shots all game rarely happens. (27 minutes ago)

Zomoniac @dingleberry doesn't matter, if you score with both shots and defend successfully all game it's still a win. Shouldn't have been 6-2 to Liverpool as shots mean nothing if they don't go in. (6 Hours ago)
