Sega finally released something new about the much awaited (for me at least) Sega Rally Revo. I guess we'll have to wait a bit more to see the game in motion since all we got now are these 5 images.

The lighting of the environment doesn't look too convincing, kind of arcadey, but the cars and mud/particles look very cool.

Erm, I like how in the screen shots, there's lots and lots of background blur, flying mud and a great feeling of speed. However, all the wheels are perfectly still, it looks freaking weird!

why do you doubt that the screens are genuine? do you think they're cgi? these screens look nothing like a rendered cgi image would look like - the cars look worse than games like motorstorm, forza 2 and GT:HD. the environments look great - and these screens are 100% in game realtime etc. you can tell by looking at it (mostly you can tel coz car dont look too great)
I think GT games have the potential to have the best car models because they dont really need to do much since no matter what you do to them there is never a scratch on the car...Forza 2 has damage and bits flying off and stuff. Both add to the realism really. You can have amazing looking cars that are invincible or great looking cars that are destructable. GT HD obviosly wasnt finished so wasnt anything amazing as whole but was nice. I think this game looks good but its not amazing. Again though motostorm looks good but it takes 108 years to load (this is not a joke...) and it doesnt have enough game modes to warrenty more than a few goes. So its wether you spend all the time making the graphics or all the time making the game.
Sure you can spend 2 years making an engine and it will blow forza, gt etc out the water. But if the game is crap its pointless.

I think everyone here has seen those game, yeah the graphics dont seem as good as the other games you mentioned but the cars graphics being crap remains to be seen. Alot of times on here, the screenshots dont do the game justice, ima reserve that part when until i see gameplay.
lol, this graphics are easily believable...especially the car models. anyone here who hasnt played motorstorm really needs to - the car models in motorstorm are much better...just look at the last picture of the subaru, poor textures - look at the jaggy logos, and look the the doors!! completely flat. also, look at the pic of the grey ford focus - colours are really dull and once again the logos arnt very sharp.
Its the motion blur and particle effects that make it look so good. It makes me wonder if it was added to touch up the screenshot, which is why i said ill believe it when im playing it.
I'd rather have the arcadey fun of Sega Rally over the more realism inspired Colin McRae any day.. Just let me slide my Stratos around in the snow with no more care than how much gas/brake I'm giving it and my steering angle!

go look at some screens of motorstorm or go play motorstorm again :P maybe the environments are better, but no the cars. anyways, i know that the game experience is more important, and when racing, the cars might not look as bad.
I'm not saying its cgi, but these screens just seem odd to me. They could be genuine ingame shots, but I believe these are composited images. Especially the first one screen seems 'fixed' to me. The Subaru Impreza looks like a cut/paste job. There's abit of leftovers from where it was cut around the lower left and lightwise it looks out of place. There are other places in the other screens too.
Mind you, these could very well be ingame shots where the developer just took several screens and combined them to make more interesting shots. It seems like the norm these days, especially for a first batch of screens.
mud effect looks better than motorstorms in screenies at least, need to see it moving, just hope they kept the 3d terrain deformation like they said (which got axed from motorstorm)

terrain deformation got axed from motorstorm?!?! trust me, the muddy parts if the track deform in real time, and stay that way throught the race..
