finally!! somebody else with some sense!!

seriously - everyone who thinks these screens look great, go look at motorstorm, GT:HD and Forza 2 screens (GT:HD has the best car models)

the car graphics i nthis game are crap - environments and mud effects look very cool though.

I think GT games have the potential to have the best car models because they dont really need to do much since no matter what you do to them there is never a scratch on the car...Forza 2 has damage and bits flying off and stuff. Both add to the realism really. You can have amazing looking cars that are invincible or great looking cars that are destructable. GT HD obviosly wasnt finished so wasnt anything amazing as whole but was nice. I think this game looks good but its not amazing. Again though motostorm looks good but it takes 108 years to load (this is not a joke...) and it doesnt have enough game modes to warrenty more than a few goes. So its wether you spend all the time making the graphics or all the time making the game.

Sure you can spend 2 years making an engine and it will blow forza, gt etc out the water. But if the game is crap its pointless.

The vibrant colours make it look "arcady".
And that's how a Sega Rally is suposed to look if you ask me!

I think everyone here has seen those game, yeah the graphics dont seem as good as the other games you mentioned but the cars graphics being crap remains to be seen. Alot of times on here, the screenshots dont do the game justice, ima reserve that part when until i see gameplay.

well im hyped over this game for 1 reason, SEGA RALLY ROCKED BIG TIME,so if this is half as good it will be amazing

Its the motion blur and particle effects that make it look so good. It makes me wonder if it was added to touch up the screenshot, which is why i said ill believe it when im playing it.

I'd rather have the arcadey fun of Sega Rally over the more realism inspired Colin McRae any day.. Just let me slide my Stratos around in the snow with no more care than how much gas/brake I'm giving it and my steering angle!

Hell naw, i have motorstorm and this shit looks better. Car models not as good as GT:HD, but which car models looks better than Gt:hd?

go look at some screens of motorstorm or go play motorstorm again :P maybe the environments are better, but no the cars. anyways, i know that the game experience is more important, and when racing, the cars might not look as bad.

mud effect looks better than motorstorms in screenies at least, need to see it moving, just hope they kept the 3d terrain deformation like they said (which got axed from motorstorm)

terrain deformation got axed from motorstorm?!?! trust me, the muddy parts if the track deform in real time, and stay that way throught the race..

Nerd ! by name and nature, motorstorm may be good but its a finished game, these are work in progress and prob will be optimised before release. Sega games used to rule the world , i think this dev has the right idea in an interview he sighted daytona and the original sega rally as inspirations (saturn sega rally is still great to play as the handling was a perfect alalnce between arcade and sim(ish) so skill really paid off, still be playing it now if i knew where i had put my saturn!)

ps the Gran Turismo HD comparison is BS anyway, low res ground detail and some plasticy cars if your going to slate a game at least be methodical in your criticsim and look at the whole picture!
