PC Xbox 360 PS3

Capcom announced a few hours ago that Devil May Cry 4 would be released simultaneously on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC at the end of the year. And to celebrate this, Sony put online some new videos of the game on the japanese Playstation Store. Strange timing.

Perhaps not, but still, this is one of the staples of the ps3. Its up there with titles like FF or MGS that you mention as justification for getting a ps3. To lose it is still major.

I wouldn't be surprised if SE turn around and announce FF13 on the 360 at some point either.

And this won't have a very big impact on the ps3's success anyway. People are beginning to realize there is more to this system than just the exclusives (or what's left of the exclusives). For instance, the ps3 really came through with Oblivion. It has higher framerates, shorter load times, and longer draw distance than the 360 version. It doesn't really matter if they lose exclusives as long as they keep producing results like that.

We're gonna have to expect that with this generation there is simply going to be less and less exclusives as the developers realize that both systems are more than capable of handling their games and they decide to take advantage of that in order to make more money. The only people getting upset, or excited, about ps3 losing all it's exclusives are the ps3/360 fanboys. Although there seem to be a lot more of the latter as of late.

Yet you sound like one from your last two threads, you make it clear that you don't like the 360.

That would be the best thing to do (finacially), unless MS has piad them ridiculous amount of money to keep it exclusive.

Well according to 1UP, MS paid Capcom some monies to keep LP and DR exclusive, now their sequels are a different story, and will most likely be Multi.

Ouch sony fans that just paid $800 dollars for a system must not be feeling good right about now, considering the game will probably look better on the 360 if its coming from Capcom with their 360 experience not to mention the extra texture ram on the 360.

Capcom said that both versions will be maxed out on it's own hardware...so obviously both will look the same with small changes.

360 version will look a little bit darker with details
Ps3 will have lighter but wont show so much details.

I am just saying that of what I saw with PS3 vs 360 for Armored Core 4.

Uncharted
Lair (not from Sony but will never go multi-platform)
Heavenly Sword
God Of War 3
Warhawk
Little Big Planet

And what-ever else I can't think of right now.

Don't be surprised to see all of your PS2 favourites to move to X360.....even Metal Gear Solid.

I'm buying a PS3 for those games listed plus MotorStorm and the PSN and as long as I can still buy these "lost" games, it's cool.

These screens always felt like an X360 game to me anyway.

Well I think sony is wrong in this. I think sony should concentrate on getting the most excluisive for their console eather first o third party. Look what happen to nintendo and the gamecube just becuase they rely to much on their first party. They get the last posicion.

Even if its 360/PC, the fact remains that it is exclusive to the 360 in the console market, you won't be able to play it on PS3/Wii, thats for sure ;)

Still, it wasn't Sony's decision obviously. Capcom made this move all on their lonesome, and it was a smart move at that.

We are not talking about 360 here so I dont understand your question. My point is I dont think sony should rely only on first party. I think sony shoul try to get as must as exclusive they can get eather third or first party. And hey sony can get wrong they are not god is a company made by humans and you know we humans arent perfect.

Hmm the dark/light thing is just down to gamma settings, Nvidia and ATI have always been like this, I don't expect the 360 version to look any better, after all the PS3 version has been the main development platform for the last 18 months.

Well if they are using the Dead Rising/Lost Planet engine and they have worked on the 360 quite a long time now, so I can't imagine they have a problem to make DMC4 just as good as the PS3 version, or vice versa .

Sony gamers get the game, so does xbox gamers

I doubt final fantasy will be multi platform, since the white engine is built around the cell.. Though future games might as they did purchase the unreal engine.

and mgs4? maybe in the future, it's built for the ps3 right now, it may be ported to the 360 after release like MGS2 substance
