Codemasters unveils the first gameplay trailer of Colin McRae: Dirt on the 360 Marketplace. The game is several months from its June release but it already looks quite good, if not as spectacular as some of the screenshots.
Update: Fixed version with better sound sync (but not perfect) online. A proper 720p version will be online tonight.
Update2: 720p versions added. The quality of the original trailer on the Marketplace isn't that good to begin with, so downloading this new version isn't really necessary if you've seen the previous one.

I wouldn't be waiting for Rallisport3 if I were you. Dice who did the two original games for MS are now owned by EA. I recon MS still owns the license, but it just wouldn't be the same without DICE.

Sega Rally will be totally different than Colin McRae. Visually stunning (probably) but more of a weight on the arcady side of rally. In the end you will probably need to get both... :)

It is a rally game.... the whole point is about time based runs ... you do know that right ?

OH thats right, cuz that rallisport challenge 2 was such a crappy game...

admittedly the graphics fidelity and physics look awesome. If only codemasters could spend another 6 months on DIRT to get the visual update running at 60 frames a second. Then DIRT could've been the best rally game ever made.

I myself am looking forward to Sega Rally Revo. Also, if they're ever made; RalliSport 3 and Richard Burns Rally 2.

No MP? odd.

But the breif glance of the hood cam in 720p was gorgeous. Even if most of the video was blurry.

while DIRT's visuals look better, PER FRAME, than RalliSport 2 - it IS disappointing concidering DIRT's framerate is pretty poor, at 25 to 30 frames per second ( and no, it's *not* 50fps as some people claim). Given the lower framerate which allows for more detailed graphics per frame, combined with the fact that this is Xbox 360, not Xbox1, I say that DIRT's graphics are disppointing overall compared to RalliSport 2.

RalliSport 2 was running 60fps on Xbox1, about 3 years ago. the Xbox 360 should be able to handle the graphic quality of DIRT at 60fps.

I hope Codemasters spends extra time to get the framerate upto 60fps, only then will I concider it to be a must-have game.
