CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS

If DICE had been coding RalliSport Challenge 3 for Xbox 360, they would show that they are the real masters of coding. Their visuals would look as good as, if not better than DIRT, and would be running at 60fps.
RalliSport Challenge 2 for Xbox seemed more impressive for the time than DIRT does now.
The graphics are good-- but not good enough to justify a lower framerate of ~30fps.

And you haven't even seen this game in motion, let alone played it yourself.. Yet you already know it sucks just because you heard or read 30 fps somewhere.. How sad..
I don't know who ever started these useless discussions, but if I was a gameconsole developer I would simply never announce what fps my game was running at.. It's not like you can check fps on a gameconsole anyway (like you can on PC).. It's only with gameconsole racegames I've noticed.. You never see discussions about how much fps Virtua tennis or whatever is running at.. Very weird..
But man, i forgot how fugly the C4 was.
Whatever.. I'm getting so tired of fps whiners like you everytime a new gameconsole racegame is announced.. I couldn't care less if it's running at 30, 60, or whatever fps.. Aslong as it looks gorgous and plays smooth I'm happy..
I'm tired of the people like you that think crappy framerates in racing games is acceptable. there's huge difference in quality of immersion and control with 60fps that you just don't get in with 25 to 30 fps. btw, DIRT so far is not even a constant 30fps.

even though no one has seen the game in-person yet, the realtime trailer is a decent indication of how the game will look.

Besides PGR3 proved that a steady 30fps with lots of motionblur is fine for a nice sensation of speed. 60fps would be a preferable, but not getting 60fps wouldn't make me not want to buy it. I think it looks stellar (at least in screenshots and most places in the realtime trailer).
Looks awesome and the damage ( i hope ) will be great! What about the release date?
Looooooking goooooooooooooooooooooooood!
Sigh, I wish Codemasters would just give up already and hand the physics coding to people like the Richard Burns Rally folks. Now THAT is a rally sim, on a lowly PS2 as well FFS (the 3 cores and Cell would provide for loads of physics oomph but Codemasters proves themselves for the umpteenth time with arcade handling).
