Xbox 360 PS3

Activision releases a new bunch of screenshots of Spiderman 3, half from the PS3 version and half from the X360 version, both of'em looking like a PS2 game. Well done !

Which is interesting considering the 360 has loads more TEXTURE MEMORY than the PS3 (ie percentage allocatable by the developer), and they both look like turd.

The only way they can make the PS3 version look "good" is by making the 360 version look criminally HORRIBLE in comparison. So perhaps they can at least use it to sell some PS3 consoles to unwitting children.

PS TMNT on Wii got 2.1/10 from Gamespot. I think thats a new low even for movie licenses.

Both gameplay video's and screens look horrible.

I wasn't expecting a visual masterpiece or anything, but this is just plain ridiculous really...

isnt it being amde on ps3 and ported to 360,its the long way round but if i remember rightly spiderman has been on sony consoles from its first one,maybe a deal they got,but both look crap so its not for me,maybe rent it for the gamerpoints,depends how easy they are

Spiderman has always been a good game. Graphically not amazing but downright descent for a movie to game conversion.

Be greatfull this series isn't shit.

Still a while off from launch and maybe those are super early screens.

I think they're pretty much mostly done with the game from what I've heard in interviews. I may be wrong though.

Don't ever expect moviegames to be amazing and good-looking. It's a PR-trick to sell the game just to watch the movie and make Spiderman even bigger than it is. PoC : At the Worlds End sucks also. Good games are developing to movies (Doom, Halo, Gears of War) and not the opposite.

It's not about looking past graphics, nobody was expecting any groundbreaking visuals anyways.
But the visuals presented here is just plain insulting.
This is unacceptable, and it's obvious it's a quick cash-in over the back of the gamers.

I mean, what exactly are they doing to improve on the series..?
some new combat moves maybe and stuff like that. Oh yeah, they added the subways this time, whooptiedoo..! This is supposed to be Spiderman "next-gen"..!

Going from Spiderman 1 to Spiderman 2 was amazing and pretty groundbreaking imo.
Now, seeing what they are doing, or rather NOT doing, to push the series forward is very disappointing to say in the least...

Im not saying the graphics are great, but i understand that if you want to play as spiderman in NY, with a realistic feel to it, then certain sacrifices have to be made, and that next-gen detail that youve seen in other smaller games, is one of them. You can argue that Crackdown looks better, but that's a very stylized game, they arent trying to go for a realistic look.

As for pushing the series forward, i guess you have a point. The subway is something at least.

If you think that it takes no effort to make a game of this scope, then your wrong.  Im not saying the graphics are great, but i understand that if you want to play as spiderman in NY, with a realistic feel to it, then certain sacrifices have to be made, and that next-gen detail that youve seen in other smaller games, is one of them. Check out the last ps3 shot, with spidey swinging next to the train. You can see his refelction in the train. That's kinda cool. But yea, game doesn't look too spectacular. But did anyone really ask for that? The other two games weren't exactly graphical powerhouses either. And don't forget that the devs are on a tight schedule to get this game out in time with the movie. As long as it's as fun to play as the other games were, I'm getting it.
