A new pack of maps for Gears of War

Microsoft and Epic announced today that they would release a brand new map pack for Gears of War as soon as Thursday, for 800 MS points (free in september). The new maps are called Bullet Marsh, Garden, Process and Subway, and are visible inside.

Yeah i think i'll stay away from these, no point spending 800 points on new maps just to get glitched on them 90% of the time.

But why must almost every map be dark and "busy" :S.

No that guy is right. The glitching recently is pretty terrible. I dont understand how I can get chainsawed with a pistol or a shotgun. Maps to me look great though. Swamp one is pretty different.

You guys need to realize no matter how many patches they release, they (the glitchers) will always find a way to do new ones.

I'll be picking up these new maps. It's good to add some new life into the multiplayer to help push me towards the 10,000 kills.

I'd just like some more maps like gridlock and that waterway map. I don't think I'll be too invested into this game for long. Halo 3 beta is comin up. No need to waste $10.

The game is glitched to the point of it being unplayable in some cases. Bravestarr have you actually played GOW online?? You must be one of the only people not to have been chainsawed by someone with a shotgun, it's then switchd to chainsaw and boom your dead, it is a glitch and it needs to be fixed. Also you say learn how to use cover well fat lot of good that is if the last man on the team glitches out the map and leaves the game to go to a draw!!!

Bravestarr if you don't think their is glitching in GoW, then you honestly are not playing online, or you play in a private server with all of your friends who don't glitch. I mean I'm here at college and I haven't played online since March because my dorm room doesn't allow XBL, and I can tell you that in almost every match I played in on XBL their was always someone who was glitching.

I love GoW, I think it's one of the best games ever made. But get in touch with reality, people glitch:

The most notable I've seen is running + firing.. which obviously you're not supposed to be able to do. I've seen people who could run, uninterrupted with the shotty.. not that many people glitch and it's not game breaking imo, but they should fix it if they can.

I've also seen some people exploit the game itself.. getting outside the map on Mansion, etc.. less useful than the actual hacks though.

I welcome the new maps though.. I wish Epic could have brought them to us for free but at least this compromise will mean an unsegregated multiplayer game once again in September. I would prefer to wait.. but who am I kidding.. I need these maps.

Why are you downright offending people when you clearly don't know what you are talking about ? We are not saying that we are sick of being chainsawed. People have found a way of chainsawing you with any weapon. While doing this they cannot be stunned so they can just run right up to you. As someone else said you need to get out into more public games because this shit is happening everywhere.

There's a 15 page thread on the official GOW forum with people complaining about this. Epic no fine well that its happening. Dont be so naive in thinking that epic would instantly release a patch. They need time to figure out all the ways that these things can happen. People around here would really appreciate not being called kids. Especially seeing as you are one of the only who has the attitude of one.

And no I am not moaning about this because the majority of the time I play as host. It does need to be sorted out though.

Halo 2 may not be a perfect gem but at least you dont see the host getting 2 shotgun kills per round. Its stupid. Whenever I host, I double my effectiveness, and the same happens to every host in that game. I do enjoy the game and thats why I keep playing it, but it is sad when you know the team with the host has so much advantage. Also, glitches like chainsawing while wielding a shotgun, or distant chainsawing are obnoxious as hell. Instead of whinning why MS didnt allow Epic to make these maps free, people should whine more about why Epic keeps ignoring the constant bugs of their game.

Now you can even chainsaw people with every weapon in the map but grenades, and get new weapons without stopping while doing it.

Ah and the game is almost broken because since the last patch your back is covered by cyanocrilate adhesive.

The only glitch i've ever seen is someone walking through an invisible barrier and walk around on the outside of the map like if he had "no clipping" on. I don't think running and shooting with the shotgun is a glitch, it probably only seems like they don't stop to shoot because of latency.
