Trailer of Devil May Cry 4

Trailer of Devil May Cry 4

Capcom today released a new gameplay trailer of Devil May Cry 4, showing Dante doing his moves in different environments. It looks alot better than the winter themed pictures and videos, but maybe the low resolution fools us?

I'm more interested in Heavenly Sword, since it has always been my most anticipated PS3 game (ever since E3 '05)... well, after FFXIII, that is, but apart from HS, Devil May Cry 4 is my most anticipated action game for PS3.

DMC4 looks GOOD. Not as great as some of the best looking next-gen games, but it's still not ugly like some of the more fanatic PS3 fanboys try to say (after the multiplatform announcement). HS kicks the crap out of DMC4 in the audiovisual side of things (and from 99,9999% of other next-gen games), whereas DMC4's gameplay system may have slightly more depth. HS should be more accessable to beginners, but still have plenty of depth, but DMC4 is probably meant for the HC gamer from the start.

Thanks god it's not two players O_o

I've never been a big fan of DMC to begin with, I only played it if a friend lend it to me.
I might give this a rent though.

The only people that are affected by this goig multi-platform are the PS fanboys who never even played DMC probably.
I'm just a tad annoyed with Capcom for putting in the "Exclusive on PlayStation 3!" writing in the first trailer, a blatant lie. They were soon forgiven when I've played Dead Rising though :p

Yeah, changing Dante's styles during the "missions/stages/levels" (whatever you want to call them) and not only between them is awesome. I mean... even only ONE style in DMC3 was deep enough, but now you can actually change the style whenever you want.

And even though I'm a tad bit annoyed for Capcom for keeping up with the "no, it's PS3 Only all the way" for so long, I'm more annoyed because of the fact that they don't seem to be following with their own words. They were all like "we'll go multiplatform because that's more affordable", yet we haven't really heard any of the Xbox 360 titles going PS3.

That's cause the 360 has been out for 1½ years now and has a much, much bigger install base. It's not the sheer fact that "two platforms is better than one!" but rather that it's much more profitable to make a game for the 360 right now.

That will change eventually though of course.

What's up?
  • Doom_Bringer

  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Maybe.. it's different for pre-loaded stuff too. (8 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer @GriftGFX: well Dragon age extracted is suppose to be arround 20 gigs but the download was only 8 gigs or 15 gigs...procedure might be different for newer games (8 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 45 minutes for this game would have to be like... 3+ megabytes per second. My Comcast can't do that. (8 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX My FFOW DL is almost 12.9 gigs and like 95% done. (8 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Steam appears to download extracted and installed, there's no install process once you finish downloading a game. (8 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer D2D file right now is 9.2 GB's. I think it was less when I was downloading it (now its extracted) I am pretty sure Steam works the same way. 12 gb is probably the extracted size :P (8 Hours ago)
