Xbox 360

More Ubidays goodness with this quite long gameplay video of Splinter Cell: Conviction. You'll be able to see the fantastic lighting and animations of the game, and more importantly see how different the gameplay is from the previous games of the series. The version they showed was still very early, but it looked great.
Update: Added a trailer that will show the graphics way better than our video.
Update2: 720p version of the trailler available.

Man this is truly evolutionary videogaming. Forget 2006, that was just a test year; 2007 is the year of the new generation. Simply awesome what they've done with the physics and interaction with the enviroment, spcs, etc.

Its great to see you guys reacting so favorabley to the new Splinter Cell, ive been browsing various forums, and people think ubisoft is ruining the series just because Sam Fisher isnt constantly hiding in shadows anymore. As if, that's all that there is to stealth.
im actually one of those people. but im willing to keep an open mind, especially for something so stunning looking (although it has some of the major tearing the last game had) the chances of this being a great game are high, but im ignoring the fact it has splinter cell on the cover, because in my heart, this isnt splinter cell any more. which saddens me a great deal.

Then your still better than most KORNdog, cuz some people are just riding this game off as an Assassin's Creed rip off, and giving it no chance at all. At least ur keeping an open mind, and thank you for that.

Well, it's actually not Splinter Cell anymore. I mean, there will be Fisher, but the Gameplay is just so diffrent... in a good way.
well devs are changing the game which is good thing, its still splinter cell but splinter cell doesnt just mean hidding in shadows all the time......it would have become boring if they did same thing again and again....sam doing missions in dark and breaking necks etc so they are changing the game story wise and coz of story they have to change gameplay

do you like halo by any chance? cos thats doing the same thing you just stated. its not evolving like it maybe should, does that mean you find that boring? just curious, becasue you cant exactly have that opinion on splinter cell yet not carry it over to other series

Actually, they chose the game to take place during autumn specifically to show off a new lighting technique they're using for the game.

With games like this and Assasins Creed it makes me wonder how MGS 4 will hold up gameplay wise. Don't get me wrong, i absolutely LOVE the Metal Gear series and i'm sure it will have a great story and well directed cut-scenes like always. BUT that said Metal gear Solid hasn't evolved that much over the years and what i have seen in the latest trailers that show actual gameplay it looks pretty much the same as always. Althou there is still much to learn about MGS 4 , and the new suit that Snake has is pretty cool. But i can't feel but worrie a bit cos' these new games offer so much more than a suit that blends in to it's enviroment. Hopefully when the new Metal Gear is in shops, it won't feel underwhelming.

P.S excuse my english, hope you all get the point im tryin' to make here.

That's no downside to me. I wish there were more exclusives out there.

I am not feeling this SC. I have been a loyal costumer of the series, and I hope this game delivers the high tech/sci-fi fans expect. Hopefully my opinion will change after playing it.

What?

As for as the video goes, it shows so great elements of the gameplay. Cant wait to play it. The video itself= dark, dark, dark. I could barely see anything most of the time.lol.

Well the changes in gameplay are due to the story IMO. Doesnt really make sense to run around with high tech night vision goggles when your trying to evade the police now does it. Im sure they wont abandon it completely, like you'll have to hack into computers and stuff, but youll have to keep a more open mind, this wont be the same as previous Splinter Cells.

Hahaha. Who was that dumbass asking him questions at the end? "Is this game for boys? little kids?" LMAO. Rated Mature, lady. wow. Why was some lady who has never played a videogame interviewing UBI on the new SC? I'm lost.

Either way, it looks like UBI has another winner on their hands.

From what i know about the game, there's a gameplay mechanic similar to Altair's Assassin's Intuition, where you can remember paths certain chrs took, and spot who to take out, stuff like that. It's kinda like a sixth sense, but its nothing supernatural, its only because Sam Fisher is a highly trained operative.
Awesome concept, I like it :D

He does look younger in this game then he does in double agent. He also does not look like sam, at all. He has been through so many changes you think he would commit suicide.

One thing I don't like in the gamplay file is that the instance sam starts his fighting animation or touches an enemy they become an instant ragdoll and he is able to throw the yards away effortlessly.

Im sure most of the flaws will be fixed by the time this game comes out. Other than that this games looks incredible. So stunning.

Looks good. If only I could understand just what that guy was saying.
I didn't like though how he set down the box and then just walked through it.
Little I know, but come on, at least have him kick it or break it or something!
