43 NFS Carbon images

43 NFS Carbon images

Electronic Arts just released this big gallery of Need for Speed Carbon images. It doesn't look bad, but let's just hope they fixed the framerate since the demo has been released.

I wouldn't mind the graphics if the gameplay wasn't so bad. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Burnout.

Nice pics but they're not actual gameplay screenshots, since you'll be playing from a different perspective.

They have no need to fix the frame-rate because NFSMW sold like hotcakes and this will too no matter how badly it runs. It's not like they turn into Bizarre overnight and learn to code a sophisticated streaming engine.

They get what they ordered so EAT IT UP.

Meanwhile the rest of us will enjoy the polished games.

I have to agree with ManThatYouFear. EA is offending us with these games. They think we're just some stupid consumer that buy everything and most of us are proving that EA is right, you keep buying games which haven't improved since the year 2000.

Once in a while they make a good game like Black but they release over 20 games per year almost all are games that they release every year but are actually the same games as 6 years ago just with some nicer graphics.

The demo was probably one of the quickest I deleted. It was just awful.

Well, the last NFS I really enjoyed was Porsche 2000. Well, actually other than NFS 1 & 2 that was the only one I enjoyed.
That developer went off and later made a little thing called Test Drive Unlimited, while NFS tunrs into the unofficial fast&furious tie-in.

Hmm. Which company retains my respect.... Difficult

(that said I have a list of things that they *needed* to have changed in TDU, shame, most were subtle tweaks and would have made a world of difference - eg the backwards reflections)

Insulting thing is, it works...

I actually though the sculpting thing was nice, but I'd like to see games like GT, Forza mix that in a little, we have these games that are all illegal street mod type things ad then the only official mods.. I want a game with both... basically take what you can do to a car in this new NFS, add tons more illegal customizing to it and then slap that onto the new Grand Turismo or Forza...

EA is the worst.

Pretty much. That "drifting" stage made me laugh, it was so bad.

The demo was utter trash, one of the worst I have seen. Don't let that fool you though, the final game has a rock steady framrate and much improved graphics and lighting, it looks and plays very nice.

The game is already out, and I just received a "review version" of it. It's actually alot of fun and filled with nice content. So far as I've played - it's warmly recommended for people who likes this type of racing games.

Those are bullshots.

Well, this game is top of the Uk charts so...

EA know they can just fart out garbage and it will sell like hotcakes...

Since the racing game fans have to take what they can get it's no wonder these games sell so well. I end up buying almost every car game that comes out. ( notable exception of ridge racer which is just bad).

Carbon isn't a bad game. The career mode is very short but you won't get many achievements from just the career mode. It's not as good as most wanted but it'll tide me over till the next racing game comes out.
