2KGames releases five gameplay clips of Bioshock, each one showcasing a "plasmid", these fishy liquids you'll be able to inject in your blood to get special abilities. As usual, the game looks absolutely gorgeous.

There is gonna be a deep and on going story true the entire game, they said if you don't care about the story you can ignore it, but if you want a story you will find a deep one. And the story wont' come to you so you need to find it.

That's what they said

That one video with him catching the missile right out of the air is so cool, ive watched it like 10 times already. If there's multiplayer, it must be a nightmare to try and balance all these abilities, and weapons out.

While the game will be cutscene-lite, it does have a very deep story. You should read some of the previews.

looks like this game has more to it then i thought. Just hate the insect swarm plasmid because of the yellow lines that fly around them, make it looks unrealistic.

It's singleplayer only they've confirmed that :-)

This game looks awesome! I can't wait for it to come! Any release date btw?

Lmao you do realise these guys made System Shock 2???? ... one of the greatest pc games of its time, little to no story? i dont think so lol

No storyline LOL? Read previews, and realize your mistake.

I think you guys are mistaking plot for storyline. Bioshock has a great plot but very little story since the developers won't be using cutscenes (just google it). In that sense it's kind of like Metroid Prime, a game I finished once and never touched again.

Plot = storyline. Surely.

Uh... cutscenes do not make make a storyline... It can be easily done through in-game dialog and whatnot.

So true, just look at the Half-Life games, not a single cutscene in those yet one of the best story based gameseries..

i love the insect swarn plasmid vid, the combination of stuff the player does to take down that big D is very inventive (far more inventive then anything id think up) i mean, swarming the big D, getting the automated gun to focus on him, rocket launch the guy while he's busy, shoot a mine at an explosive barral, then throw said barral with your mind for an uber explosion. cool, very cool indeed.

I was kind-of baffled about the no story/cutscene comment until I looked at the games in your signature: Lost Odyssey, Metal Gear Solid 4, Ninja Gaiden 2, Resident Evil 5, Silent Hill 5. Obviously you are one who more enjoys the Japanese style of in game storytelling; and more power to you. I have no doubt what you've listed will all be great games! So you are absolutely right in wondering whether you'll enjoy this title.

I like both styles of storytelling (east v. west, if you will) to a point. I mean those JRPGs are a little over the top. I'll be picking this title up for sure though. Give it a rent; maybe you'll enjoy it. The atmosphere alone seems top notch.

  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer @GriftGFX: well Dragon age extracted is suppose to be arround 20 gigs but the download was only 8 gigs or 15 gigs...procedure might be different for newer games (7 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 45 minutes for this game would have to be like... 3+ megabytes per second. My Comcast can't do that. (7 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX My FFOW DL is almost 12.9 gigs and like 95% done. (7 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Steam appears to download extracted and installed, there's no install process once you finish downloading a game. (7 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer D2D file right now is 9.2 GB's. I think it was less when I was downloading it (now its extracted) I am pretty sure Steam works the same way. 12 gb is probably the extracted size :P (7 Hours ago)
