The first mercs is one of the games that taught me it's all about the gameplay..

But Just Cause wasn't fun. Mercenaries is INSANELY fun. This shouldn't be any different. And if you're wondering, they wanted to make a generic 80's action movie feel to it.

why? My avatar is a girl. Im not sayin the guy characters in final fantasy dont look feminine. But seriously, they went too far wit the design on that main character. I really dont know wat they were going for but it seems like they were very confused when designing him.

I don't know man, too me this game seems a little off. The graphics are weird, I can't tell if it's intentially that way or not.

You are both wrong. I have had lots of fun with Just Cause. You just have to make it fun with the freedom that it offers.

This Mercenaries 2 looks ok. And if the game area really is vast, then I am interested.

ahah, amusing thread! It's so interesting to see how different people's sensibilities are, what one thinks is jagged awful crap, someone immediately thinks is cool and badass! I for one think that the art style in this is doubtful to say the least. i mean, i don't want to play as this low life junkie!

Just Cause had incredible environments when compared to this crap. Mercs does seem to have better lighting and car models. Still, environments have a MUCH bigger impact for games like these.

Well its nice hi def Ps2 game, just cause its better than this one.

kind of ironic that the first game was one of the best looking xbox and ps2 games wen it was released. now its one of the worst looking xbox 360 and ps3 games released.
