Page << 1 2Zeuxis: It's not so much about physics as it's about 60 vs. 30 FPS.
Juergen: You're right, better antialiasing is more important than higher resolution.
(what's the word for "bahnbrechend"? ^^)
Still don't believe it's ingame. The tracks are nothing fancy, imo they look very bad, so it could be ingame. The cars however have way too much AA and way too sharp textures on them, we'll see when it's coming out...
umm.... OK. :s
First of all actually take a look at the shots and you'll see plenty of evidence that these are in game. Real-time shadow artifacts (ie. car shadow, and shadow on wall in pic 4), game res textures on ground, some very low poly objects, and in general nothing in these shots looks better than in-game graphics. The ONLY thing you could doubt is the AA, but it is perfectly possible to take a screenshot at 2x to 4x the game res on a 360, then resize it down and you have some nice looking AA. Seriously, did you just immediately dismiss these as "bullshots" just so you could jump on the extremely stale "I Hate EA bandwagon"???
I remember the crazy tracks of NFS2 special edition (or whatever the glide enabled edition was called). silky smooth game
I remember the cop - bandit chases in hot pursuit... breathtaking
I miss the time where NFS was not trying to be "cool"... really it s like i feel disconnected now.

Im pretty sure these aren't renders but there is no way in hell that they are a: running on a xbox 360 b: that there is no photoshop involved c: that the final game will look like this.
My guess is that the pictures we are looking at here are taken from one of the hugely powerful computers that developers use to create games with.
And no the "i hate EA bandwagon" isn't stale, it's more justified than ever with the bland but pretty crap ea is flooding the market with.
Yes, yes we did and we are damn proud of it.
Hell, the thing that really sexes these shots up is the lighting and reflections. If you look at the backgrounds, most of those shapes are quite simple but with nicely detailed texture maps.
I'm no more and EA fan than anybody - they're a prime example of what happens when accountants take control of a company. Games are made based on focus group feedback and market segmentation rather than a passion for making great games that you'd find at a shop run by game people. But, it's intelectually dishonest to trash something regardless of its relative merits simply because you hate EA. Get over it all ready.

There, nice new patch of screens from Battlefield Bad Company ( 360, PS3)
I can't believe that these screens aren't featured on this site already, are you guys getting lazy or playing some great new game? :D
Anyways, BC looks great, can't wait to get my hands on it!
OK... I would have given you some insightful and informative responses to your points but the attitude you show tells me it would be time wasted. I backed up my points with factual evidence from the images, where is yours??? Like I said before, I really dont see anything (apart from the high AA as I stated before) that looks too good to be in-game.
