The words are from Seb Downie, QA Manager at Guerilla, and it gives us the confirmation that the Killzone 2 screenshot flooding the web since a few hours is legit. Because I am a very polite person, I will only advise you to forget everything you saw of the game at last year's E3 before opening this news. This is becoming embarrassing.

its already been confirmed to be from the campaign mode.

NO IS NOT DUDE, IT SAYS IS INGAME BUT IT DOESN'T SAY IF IS THE CAMPAIGN MODE OR THE MULTI.

Halo 3 beta looked sucky but every 1 backed it up by sayin it is early build and same goes for ps3 , it is too early to judge it plus base don 1 shot lets wait for the trailer even then we can just until and unless we have seen shots/trailers from final build.

PS2 textures. They should just wait until they have something that looks good. Either this is a joke and the real deal will be shown soon (I think so), or they just stabbed themselves by coming out with such a low quality in graphics after showing that fake trailer back in 06.

I really like the first Killzone and I would like to see some improvement in the sequel. With that said, if it is indeed a screenshot of final product... minor disappointment but I would still hope that the game overall is good.

If they hadnt released the trailer they did a couple of yrs ago, no one would say much... they made their own bed.

You do not release pre-pre-pre-pre-alpha shots when you know people demand perfection. Even if it was pre-pre-alpha they could at least have put some effort into the wall textures. With this and the ratchet screenshot it's becoming apparent that not even the wizards at sony can outcome the texture memory limitations of the system.

1080p will be bilinear-fiesta.

Hmm, I was expecting it to look a lot better. I was obviously not expecting CGI but this really isn't that great. We'll just have to wait and see it in motion I guess.

They really made a huge mistake with that earlier CG trailer. Now they have to come pretty close to it, or hope PS2 has so much shine with their future linup that they avoid embarrassment.

I know, it's only one screenshot, and I certainly wouldn't judge the whole game by it.

My only problem is that I find it impossible to believe that Guerilla is only at the pre-alpha stage. I mean forget about the 2005 trailer for a moment, we're practically talkin about THREE E3's ago when Killzone was 1st announced.

They've had YEARS to work on this thing. What have they been doing?

Heh, just posted in a thread about this in the fourm didn't realize it was on the front page. I thought it looked pretty good in the smaller screen(in the forums) but in full 720p the textures look really bad. I do like the use of light and shadow. I just hope it has some really good animation and looks really nice in motion or they are never gonna hear the end of it.
