Microsoft and Bioware keep unveiling a bit more of Mass Effect as the weeks go by, and this time we get to see a bit more of one of the bad guy, if not THE bad guy of the game: Saren.

I think someone is slamming the image server... Every other part of the site is running great but I can only get 500b/sec on these images

And I really want to see them too

So, because of KOTOR, we all know this game will be amazing. What worries me, however, is the lack of lip-syncing in the cut-scenes. After seeing Heavenly Sword's mo-capped lips, I can't look at this anymore. Just look at the trailer. Anytime they show someone talking, it's only for a few frames, and even then you can see it's out of sync. They want to cover it up. I really hope this doesn't completely ruin the immersion.
Dude, with the amount of dialogue they have, it would take YEARS to do mocap on all of it. They have 10s of thousands of lines of dialogue, its just physically impossible. And can you imagine how much space that would take up?

For what they are doing, and the amount of dialogue, the lip-syncing and facial animation is already WAAY above par.

^ Well, Oblivion pretty much did it. And it have taken them years.

No lip-sync = Lazy ass devs. it's like looking at an American movie dupped to german or something.

Syncing phonim animation with sound doesn't require motion capture though.. it's pretty basic animation. They don't need to use mocap to create convincing lip-syncing.
