Now this is a great news for the numerous Halo 3 fans out there, since Bungie announced a few minutes ago that Halo 3 would have a 4 players coop mode over Xbox Live! And as a way to celebrate this, we even get a picture of the Master Chief with his 3 new best friends: The elites Arbiter, N’tho ‘Sraom and Usze ‘Taham.

I don't know about everyone else, but I will personally be refusing to play as anything but the host. I'm actually pretty upset that anyone still has to play as that effing Arbiter. If there was one thing I had to pick out about Halo 2's campaign and say I hated it, it was having to play as that mis-shapen penis of a thing called the Arbiter. And I've never even heard of the other 2 additions...

The thing is, theres only one Spartan left to fight in this battle (yes i´ve read the books i know there are other spartans... but they are not with the MC atm) so if u want a credible storyline there cannot be more than one spartan in the campaign.

halo3 has never had 4 player co-op split screen but im sure in multiplayer games you can still have 4 players on one xbox.

The look for Halo 3 might not be the best...but it will look good enough.
Halo 2 for xbox isnt the greatest looking game either...
UT3 doesnt have singelplayer...or at least, a proper singleplayer with story.

I am just wondering...is the coop gona be like Gears of War with all the cutscene intact...or its like Rainbow Six Vegas which basically are like loading a seperate level each time, with all the cutscene remove.

I hope gamersyde.com can get an answer from Bungie.net

Am I the only one that is annoyed, or almost offended, that the other playable characters are elites. To me this sort of confirms the fact that other spartans from the books won't make it into the game. Because wouldn't the most logical way to handle co-op is have two spartan characters and 2 elite characters?

I'd love to see the good doctor, Cobra team and all them too but I doubt they'd make it out anytime soon. Play through Halo: CE with a friend and just imagine the other Spartan is Linda.

best looking console game? i take it you havn't seen the killzone trailer..yes there are dodgy textures in that trailer..but its pre-alpha lol..and the models, animations and lighting look better in killzone2...and there are other games with great graphics on par with halo..halo 3's graphics arn't that special...they look very good and arn't bad in anyway..at least its got great gameplay

prealpha? dude they said the game was 70% complete a year ago, and .. .ummm... trailer? lol stop looking at trailers and look at the frigging gameplay they showed it barely holds a candle to cod3 let alone h3 or cod4

while i will agree some other games, AC/cod4/bioshock/masseffect all look amazing, and yes ut3... but whats odd is their all 360 games as well :) and as for ut3, ya it looks pretty good but is even more arcady than halo multiplayer, and i hate to be a complainer but i'm a campaign and coop player, something UT doesnt provide me with properly. And yes sorry to bust peoples bubbles mainly the sony fanboys, ut3 has been already confirmed 99.9% to be only a TIMED exclusive, and the reason for it isnt even programming related, its halo 3 related, certain games dont wanna release side by side with halo 3 due to the massive media storm that will be surrounding the halo release and drown out other releases.

Oh and one other thing, who ever said the avatar in coop wouldnt be selectable, as many customizations as bungie is giving i can almost guarantee we will be able to do 4 spartans/4 arbiters 2/spartans 2/arbiters etc... its just kinda common sense for them to do it lol their just showing that theirs 4 people you can choose from.

Guys the E3 trailer had a cutscene with the Chief, Arbiter and a random elite either N’tho ‘Sraom or Usze ‘Taham in it with Guilty Spark. That would make me think theres a chance the cutscenes will have all parties involved, and makes me wonder if while playing by yourself (why would you :P ) that you will have the other 3 hanging around like a posse.
