Here are the five first minutes of the Bioshock demo, which shows your first steps in Rapture, the underwater city. As the level is quite long, I thought that it would be better to stick with a short glimpse, but if you want me to record the all thing, don't hesitate to ask.

This demo blew my mind. The best game I have played all year (except maybe Guitar Hero, heh).

Utterly amazing art, killer sound, great controls, sweet playability, and so much atmosphere. Sheer awesome.

the bit where the plane tale crashed into the walkway and all the water started rushing in... wow

I always thought Bioshock would be a front runner for GOTY but after playing the demo a couple more times, I'm almost convinced it's a shoe-in now, even with Mass Effect coming this year as well. Either way, I can guarantee the console GOTY for 2007 is going to be on 360 this year. Not to get all fanboy-ish but I haven't seen anything coming for Wii or PS3 this year that tops either Bioshock or Mass Effect IMO.

btw unless you have a top notch audio setup, play with a good quality headset, it will freak you out.

This game is amazing. Buy it. If you don't have a '360 or a high-end PC, get one. You need to play this game, shooter fan or not. This is a prime example of the direction that videogames need to go in. It is, quite simply, a work of art. You've got a week to get ready, so there's no excuse.

After playing the demo through once, I am VERY happy I preordered the game. The atmosphere in the game is second to none. I can honestly see this game reaching half-life level of greatness and atmosphere.

The world seems extremely well thought out and tons of subtle details make for a game in which you just want to take your time in every room just to appreciate the design and small touches.
Also, best looking water in any game I have ever seen.
As Borat would say..."veddy nice".

Amazing...Just Simply Amazing. I think I am going to change my pre-order from the regular game to the Limited Edition (I want a Big Daddy).

I love Halo and all, but I think this has GOTY written all over it.

The excuse is I upgraded to a 7600GT SIX months ago! I'm waiting till next year at least. MAYBE a cpu upgrade to dual core in December.

excellent game. i dont really feel creeped out from the game like i was hopeing i would but i defiently liked the atmosphere and setting, very original and something i been waiting to see in a game for awhile now. cant wait for release.

You can't play this demo once guys... even if after playing you think it rocks...

Bioshock, even the demo needs to be played a few times, and don't just repeat what you did theirs atleast 3 ways i've heard of in playing... rambo style, hacking style and insade plasmid crazyness... oh and then theres variations of them mixed together hehe

from what i've seen and heard from others, you really have to play it a few times to even get the full understanding of how amazing and versatile this game is.

I mean it was wicked playing it through the first time but mixing it up a few times over and over again differently is just amazing

umm... a video card and cpu upgrade.... wouldnt a 279$ core 360 have been cheaper and both will get you the bioshock goodness

haha why not just get a 360 £220 ..... very cheap for one of the best games this year =P

Playing the demo, I had goosebumps the entire time. In one minute I went from "not even gonna rent it" to "buying it day-one."

It sort of went the other way around for me. Something about the whole scenario just doesn't cut it for me, even though it looks gorgeous. I just can't feel scared or even amused of the enemies and there seems to be a lot of scripted events and linear progression in the beginning. Maybe it gets better when the game begins.

I'll give it a few more tries, I mean after all... the first few hours of Oblivion weren't that spectacular :)

played the demo, was blown away, played it again, uncovered 2 whole new sections id missed, and got like $136, a mega fuckton more than i did the first play through, amazing, i shall firmly be keeping my preorder (with free faceplate!)

Oh yeah..me too..I started the demo yesterday and I was literally afraid of walking out of the the sphere which brought me to Rapture. I have no weapons, no plasmids, how am I going to protect myself from the splicer that's definitely nearby. Man I was scared..:)

But now I've seen the Snoopers play more of the demo and the way it progresses, I wasn't that big on this game before, but now the deal is done. I'm definitely getting it when it's released..
