Excellent. Gears of Fighting right there.. these boys prove yet again they have mad technical talent.

I pray the hair physics are not tentacles here. May the boob physics be with thee.

Well codpiece is the older term, one that's been around since the fictional Soul Calibur era. Also codpieces were often made to accentuate the genitalia size, which Voldo's always do...

Doesn't really look like much of an update from the previous I have to say
Looks like the same game with different costumes
Also the women always had large breasts

I'd rather have this arcade tested before release.

I hope they still have a movable camera for the characters gallery.

On gameplay they cannot improve much, the older titles had always great gameplay (perhaps a little bit too easy)... The only thing that needs to come are levels on more floors. That is really a thing they could "import" from the DOA series. That makes a game feel more interactive and atmospheric. Or something like losing the weapons when the character is too tired ... then running back and grabbing your weapon, or another, from the floor, and back to the fight.... Hmm.....

Weakest looking next-gen fighting game update so far. Looks a lot like Soul Calibur 3.

As per joergens comment, The hair looks much improved on compared to other games, hopefully it doesn't fly around like crazy possessed spaghetti (heavenly sword anyone). The first SC game on dreamcast was my favourite fighter by far, I hope they do the unlockable character showoff mode where the character is on their own practicing with their weapons, the animation was amazing and the martial arts moves were brilliantly coreorgraphed (sp).

You must be kidding. Did you forget how SC3 was looking like? It was an absolutely great game, for shure, but still far from these screens!!! Take a look at SC3 pics, somewhere in the net, and then again, look at these!! Then you will see the difference!! Just look at the details!! ^^

SOS

Do you guys know what that mean. The fighting department needs a swift kick in the ass. Japaneese Devs don't even try anymore. It would be nice to see a next generation Killer Instinct using the Unreal engine.

Geez

There is a hell of a lot they can improve, the sc games have always been fun as hell but pretty shallow as far as depth goes.
They should focus less on flashy over the top moves and pretty lights and try to bring it to the next level. (but the boobs are nice)

I'm disappointed in the direction that Namco is taking SC. The technical side of the game looks amazing- but the "Let's Hit 'em With Boobs!!" is very silly. What- are they thinking that their only audience is the boys just discovering the fun of erections? What about the rest of us that KNOW these characters? We KNOW that Sophitia didn't have DDD size boobs last game. And her kid sister... must have blossumed over the summer vacation...!

And how freaking lazy are they that they'll spend weeks creating Watermelon's on the girls A size frames... but they can't put the straps on the shields they're (mysteriously) holding?!?!

The game will be amazing from what they've shown so far. The new character models look great! I noticed they still need to fix a few rough areas in the backround though...like in pic 1286_0004. If you take a quick look at the grass you can spot right away that its a flat polygon with a texture thrown on top. There is even a white line at the edge making it look slapped on. If they later model the grass out or something then it will be more visually pleasing. Other than bumping up the textures on the backrounds which more than likely will happen later, I see nothing wronge. It will be a Day 1 purchase no matter what.

Sorry it was the only thing I could find wrong with the amazing shots they gave us...

You've just reminded me of an hillarious episode of Black Adder...

As for SC4, I think the graphics look fine and will probably look even better when i'm playing the damn game!

I'm also all for the multi tiered fighting arenas. It's something that I think at least a few levels should touch upon. Some interactive elements would also be good, like smashing pots and wotnot, it makes the fights seem alot more 'cooler'.
