GC07: Exclusive Halo 3 footage

GC07: Exclusive Halo 3 footage

We want to thank Microsoft, Bungie and most of all Brian Jarrard for the awesome exclusivity we just landed since we managed to shoot the 17 minutes long presentation of the single player part of Halo 3. This is the first part that's just supposed to be a small sample of the good stuff to come as soon as we make sure our servers are not melting. It showcases the incredible replay feature on the Tsavo Highway level you"ve all come to know and love already. Have fun :)
Update: First gameplay video showing the very beginning of the level.
Update 2: And the second one is online :)
Update 3: Third part of the presentation is online.
Update 4: Last update for today, with the second to last part of the presentation.
Update 5: And here comes the last part! The full presentation will be available in the next few days.

I Luv how the way we can be voyeurs with the Video Feature.

Just one question?
In freeze mode, it's all cool n' dandy, but in slo-mo everthing Shutters ... like they don't use enough FPS to make that effect smooth.

Hope they can work on that and make it... Perfection! :D

Either way Gamersyde deserved it...!

PS:The video rocks!

The demo playback and sharing is definitely a great new feature. Not only is it going to be fun but there are some real practical uses too.

Its well earned Gamersyde is imho the best gaming site out there. They always seem to have a constant stream of new vids/info and now this. All that plus Acert make Gamersyde the best place site for gaming news.

lol he knows alot. I always seem to learn something new from one of his posts but really I just meant the community as whole there aren't to many flame wars around hear (which is saying alot considering all three systems have one forum) plus is just a good laid back place. (and I like being able to swear uncensored when needed).

The video replay mode is nice but it's really only there for people who want to make Halo short movie clips as in Blue vs Red. I also think that is a major reason why the added video replay because of Red vs Blue. This brings me to my next point; I HOPE that because of video replay the game is not hindered in anyway, such as resources being taken up or changing a sequnce because of video replay.

I don't agree with that. I will not create short movies with this feature. But I think I will have lots of fun watching replays after playing a mission in co-op with friends.
When you play a 4-player co-op game, you will never notice all the things happening around the other players. Now your friend can tell you: "Hey, did you see what happened to me? You'll not believe this! I'll show you in the replay!!"

IMO, this is one hell of a feature :-D

best regards,
ScarJack

ditto to that. best feature of halo 3 so far imo. this will be a god send for creating methods of getting past certain areas on legendary and posting it to help people out, i can imagine a lot of movie based FAQS coming from this game.

About the game

What's up?
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker I checked again, their last broadcast is about 32 minutes and is about the Keep. The one after is from oct 20. (8 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @Sdarts: It's going to be the X1 version for me. Hopefully we get to zoom in on characters too. Skyrim and Fallout 3 have that, you can zoom in/out and keep the cam there. (8 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts DICE helped them a lot with the Frostbite 3 engine and they were able to push the visuals beyond BF4 in some aspects, like the water effects. And it really shows. Too much excited to wait till Nov 18. (8 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts The camera automatically zooms out when entering combat and zooms in after, but you can change the FOV with the mouse wheel. The visuals look amazing on PC, much more than on PS4 and XBO. (9 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Moonwalker: To access the archived livestream videos, click on BioWare and then on Past Transmissions. Today they showed a new region and a new story quest (but very early, so almost no spoilers). (9 Hours ago)
  • Sath
Sath Main Theme from Lords of the Fallen [url] sounds great to me, kind of getting that Witcher style vibe. (11 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker I watched the X1 stream again, parts of it, i really hope so much that on console we can zoom on the character and lock it too, it totally kills immersion when camera is so far away. (12 Hours ago)
