The very slow and very much flash based japanese Lost Odyssey site is finally online, and as always I've captured the few new (or not so new) images I could find there.
And just because I think it's great, you can also download the music I ripped from the site.
Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (> 3 Months ago)

Games with good plot that I found if you now so really want to know about it, Xenogears, Xenosaga, Most Shin Megami tensei games and it's clones, Shadow hearts series, Disgaea series, Atelier Iris series, and many many more.

PLENTY of people that play PLENTY of jrpgs bought Blue Dragon, yes the full retail version, and guess what, they still gave it poor reviews. a lot of the REALLY hardcore jrpg fans imported it WAAAYYYY back when it was released in Japan, prior to this horrible demo that "true rpg experts" claim is the only reason people hate Blue Dragon, and guess what, Blue Dragon was already starting to get a range of good to poor reviews rolling in back then. it got FAR more than 1-2 bad reviews. it got plenty of good reviews, it ALSO got plenty of bad reviews. and plenty of those bad reviews came from people that have played every FF and every DQ (which makes a lot of western gamers think they've played the whole range of jrpgs). they import rpg series that have not and will not ever even leave Japan. They are just as much fans of the genre and as well versed in the genre as any Mistwalker fan (some ppl that i know that were THOROUGHLY unimpressed by BD are easily far MORE versed in JRPGs than probably 90% of the people i've seen on western sites claiming to be total rpg experts. i've seen their collections)
so sorry, give it up, cause it IS complete BS (and frankly i bet you, and most rational people, damn well know it). like Blue Dragon, think its the greatest? go for it. damn well-made game.
but it DID get its fair share of completely valid criticism from plenty of "hardcore rpg fans". trying to hype up your opinion by claiming you're the only true rpg fan, thats what i'm calling idiotic.

Nobody is saying its the greatest game ever made. I'm saying its a great traditional jrpg experience and its easy to see how much work went into it. Subpar or mediocre in quality it most definitely isn't. Like I said true rpgs fan will enjoy the game. I'm not saying it'll be the best jrpg they've ever played, but it should definitely be something they enjoy. A lot of people that claim they've been playing jrpgs forever got their very first jrpg experience with Final Fantasy VII and nothing prior to that so people seem to believe anything that isn't similar to that can't be considered a great jrpg experience.
Absolutely nothing wrong with saying that because I believe strongly those that like jrpgs will really enjoy Blue Dragon. Its on par quality wise to a lot of great traditional jrpgs of the past and is definitely in the same league as far as quality is concerned to things like Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy 12. So I'll keep saying true jrpg fans will enjoy Blue Dragon. It's the definition of a classic throwback. Hell who knows how many more jrpgs we'll end up seeing like this what with the new direction some developers appear to be taking.
Sidetracked, but I'm done arguing.
Lost Odyssey still looking great :)

Commented on 2007-09-04 06:24:02Been watching the E3 2007 Trailer again and man I really love how some of the scenes look. Seems they did a great job animating the characters in cutscenes so they look nice and natural. Really like Kaim's voice so far, but I can't deny the fact that I simply can't wait to hear what the Japanese voices are like. I see those characters and keep thinking atleast one of them should have Byakuya's voice from bleach :)
I also wouldn't mind if the girl had yorouichi's voice.

Commented on 2007-09-04 10:08:45Dying to see what the story is going to be like for this. Really enjoying the hell out of Blue Dragon right now. Blue Dragon pretty much fully covers the role of a nice charming and at the same time wacky and humorous strong jrpg experience on the console. Lost Odyssey will cover the role of the more dark and mature jrpg experience. Off to a damn good start so far all they need to do is seriously follow these titles up with sequels. Make it official turn them into full fledged series and constantly improve upon them.
This is what Microsoft should do if they are at remotely serious about Japan. They may not make any serious progress, but keeping strong japanese titles like this coming from Mistwalker and other devs will keep people like myself very happy.
