Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)

There is no move in DOA that cannot be blocked, evaded or countered (as long as you are not stunned or in the air) This is true for even Alpha, she just happens to be cheap by being incredibly fast, strong and evasive.

Commented on 2007-10-31 00:07:08NG however was diffrent. If you ever encountered a doppelganger in NG you'd know how hard it is to fight them, same with the black Ninjas who come in a group of up to 5. You couldn't beat them with spamtactics cause they'd block/dodge everything if you repeat it once or twice in a row. The fights were crazy and anyone who mastered them will agree that it was a lot of fun and very satisfying.
But there were other enemys of course: The dumb zombies and the animal like creatures jumping out of the ground weren't very smart but this is how I expect them to act. A zombie shouldn't be smart and do crazy moves, altho he still reacts according to your position/action and every time you try using cheap smap tactics on them.
Go on and try playing NG with spam tactics. It will probably work for the low difficulties, however it's very frustrating cause repeated attack patterns will be punished very quickly and it takes a lot of time cause you will die more.
To finish my anology I refer to the video we saw on the TGS presentation. Appart from the big monsters at the end of the presentation every single enemy seemed to be smart and not follow stupid patterns. Not as smart as the NG Ninjas but pretty close.
Commented on 2007-10-31 00:59:54Not nearly all PS3 games are native 1080p. Examples of games that ARE NOT 1080p (but 720p or LESS) include Heavenly Sword, Folklore, Resistance (1280x704), Motorstorm and many many more. In FACT the MAJORITY of PS3 games DO NOT support nor natively render 1080i/p, support meaning do not upscale and will not function in HD on a HD set that doesnt support 720p. Games like Virtua Fighter 5 render 720p native and upscale to 1080.
Games that ALL OF YOU misinformed souls claim support 1080p native on the PS3 include Ratchet (1280x704 actual), Ninja Gaiden Sigma (720p), GTHD (1440x1080), GT5 Prologue (1280x1080) and others.
Of course there are worse examples on both systems but 540p in The Darkness and 600p in TH Proving Ground and COD3 are ones for the PS3.
The amount of misinformation concerning the (perceived superior) abilities of the PS3 and its games is staggering and is further bolstered by the underestimation and lack of faith in the abilities of the 360, when both systems are pretty much the closest that two rival systems have ever been in the history of console gaming.
And me trying to inform you here will be of no use because the "HD era begins at 1080p" and "Halo3 640p sucks!!!!!!" etc
But think of this: ask any PS3 fanboy which resolution all PS3 games run at and you get 1080p. Ask any 360 fanboy which resolution all 360 games run at and you get 720p (though most will probably have heard of the unfortunate Halo3 resolution incident). Which group is more misinformed, or are they both equally misinformed.
Commented on 2007-10-31 01:14:37But Fuck a 720p Halo 3 ... If we had to let go the awesome Light/HDR the game acheived to trade-off for some fuckin' stupid Resolution Claim... that would be the true "incident".
It could use some more AA, tough. :P
Commented on 2007-10-31 01:19:06In other words, this game isn't making any impact on graphics, not even remotely close to the impact NG had back then.
And please stop it with the sad excuse of "it's because of the style". Come on. Better shadowing and lighting don't change the style, better graphics don't change the style--at least they don't HAVE to. How come the CGI movies in NG managed to keep the style with 100 times better graphics?
Please do stop it, it is ridiculous and is nothing more than just a excuse.
Commented on 2007-10-31 01:34:34What the flying Fuck did you expect. Ninja gaiden is the DOA3 Engine put in Action Adventure Game... This is what you Get DOA4 in the same genera.

Commented on 2007-10-31 16:44:01Rolling and evading in acrobatic ways that NG Sigma added is what you counted on to not to get hit.
But sliding to evade is just lame.
I know that there is ALOT of people who used the rolling and acrobatic technique in NG series to avoid getting hit, but now you gotta slide you way out, kind of doesn't do anything.
In the demo he got hit pretty good even when trying to evade.
I do hope that the rolling and acrobatic techniques are still there though.

Commented on 2007-10-31 18:00:17In dashing, your body is still up in the open to get hit from slashes, magic, bullets...etc. while rolling is is so low on the ground they often misses.
Difference is quite much there, and it doesnt matter which "animation" is more ninja like, as long as he doesnt get hit and fights awesome like always he is a ninja.

Commented on 2007-10-31 22:27:37 In reply to Xion4360I watched NG2 demo and then played NG Sigma a bit and the difference is there.
I think the rolling stuff should be back but if they put in dahs too its fine to me.

Commented on 2007-11-01 06:06:30I think Itagaki won't that Ryu looks like an acrobat from the circus (that was also the reason why he lost all his handstand moves + the stance from DOA3 to DOA4).
Commented on 2007-11-01 08:57:31 In reply to Xion4360He has monkeies doing the thinking for him and chumps making it :P
He is there swinging his Dragon Sword replica in his office :D
They should had some sort of a aura effect when he dashes, would make it cooler. Without that it seems that Ryu is skating over the place.
Ninjas are suppose to be very athletic, besides in cutscenes you always saw him like backflip his way and such from enemies.
As long as the dashing doesn't make you vulnerable and the acrobatics are there I am fine.
