Xbox 360

Naruto: Rise of a Ninja will be released today in the US, and on Friday in Europe, and this time we managed to get some videos out before the actual release. Let's hope this will be more often the case! Anyway, for a half linear and half sandbox game like Naruto nothing less than 5 videos will be necessary to show how everything works, but I'm sure the numerous fans of the series won't mind!
Update: All five videos are now online.

I'm very impressed. You know how you keep your hopes in check whenever someone is using this type of art direction. Very often it's hit or miss, but they nailed it with a kind of subtlety that I wasn't quite expecting.

I want to see more things like this this generation. I know we all love the high performance games that push the levels of photo-realism, but it's so refreshing to see a game like this come off this well.

It's like that Street Fighter teaser with the cel shading and inking effects. Very low performance techniques would have to be applied to achieve that level of artistry as well.

yes there is a beautiful online mode. The game is top notch minus the voice acting and the fact that the VS cast is 11 characters. Other that that Id rate it a 10, but due to that I rate it a 8-8.5. Ubisoft actually made a great game for once! Other the P.O.P or Raving Rabbits. Kodos to The UBI team! Buy it if you want a fun game with great fighting.

Gameplay is good! But the voice acting killed the game's overall aspect.
You can download the original Japanese voice overs from Xbox Live.

How could anyone like something as lame as Naruto? I really don't get those manga guys. I mean, who could possibly get excited about some little boy and his "adventures"? He sounds like a whiny brat. Reminds of that mistake from Blue Dragon. Do Asians really think we want to hear whiny brats screaming all the time? I just don't get it.
