I've received my import version of Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction yesterday and already recorded and uploaded these first two videos. The first one is almost exactly the same thing as the demo (minus the disco ball), but the second one shows the beginning of the second level. At least two more videos will follow in the next few days, unveiling more of the gameplay mechanics.
Update: As promised, here are the last 2 videos, showing the upgrade system for the weapons and some simple puzzles.

But you'd have to wonder what kind of financial risk that would be having two similar games for a console that is everything but family-centered at the moment (pricerange). This way both have an audience and dont step on eachoter's toes.

I actually think a new Jak game would be better than the crap that is Uncharted.

But I like cartoony games, and hate shooters so there is no surprise there.

How can you not like Uncharted. It looks to be the PS3 GOTY. The story, acting, graphics...its all top notch. I'll take Uncharted over Jak anyday.

But I tend to not like platformers so we are on the same boat kinda lol

Nah I like platformers, but don't like realistic looking games, besides Uncharted looks more like a shooter than a standard platform game.

the 12 or so platforming parts they have shown in countless videos must have eluded you for a year..your high and mighty opinion, when coupled with your ignorance on the game is baffling in future try not to share an opinion on something you have never researched. and kill the jabs at the PS3 library, if you don't own a PS3, what is and isn't the best game is outside your scope, just like its initial price.

Actually that's an odd thing that's always been in the R&C games: Ratchet's eyebrows were made large and black in the Japanese versions of the game (supposedly to have more appeal over there), while they're the typical brown in every other territory. Since the post about the videos mentions importing the game, I'm guessing this means that it's using the "Japanese" model for Ratchet. Even in Gamespot and IGN's images, it shows him with the standard brown eyebrows (see here: http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2007/295/revi...), so this probably isn't going to affect anyone except importers and people with Japanese consoles.

But in any case, absolutely beautiful videos. This was one of my most anticipated games of the year, and Insomniac managed to pull through once again. Can only imagine what Resistance 2/R&CF2 will be like.

Hmmm, I do own a PS3, so i guess it is within my scope.

How about you trying not to be so defensive, If i don't like a game I will have an opinion (high and might or not)

I'm well aware that it has platforming elements but the shooting aspect of it makes it feel like another generic western game, IN MY OPINION.

Nor am I going to waste time researching a game that I already know that I won't like.

This game looks very good looking forward to getting my copy in a few days.

I do agree with Jollipop I loved the Jak and Daxter series and I'd much rather see the story continue than this new Uncharted game thier making. Maybe once it's done they will go back and carry on the Jak series.

generic "western" game? so you're one of "those" ..i guess the lack of little girls in sailor outfits, no visible girly men who's power correlates to how femine they look, and the pronounce-able title are all turn offs. its a waste of time trying to get an unbiased opinion from you..if you actually had a PS3 you wouldn't say R&C was its first good game..i call BS on your ownership claims .

They looks so fake now, really don't understand why has Insomniac done this, Ratchet is yellow brown and they make him huge black eyebrows :S

Yes im one of those, is there a problem with that ? I like Japanese games so sue me, funny that the majority of PS3 owners are waiting for the triple A Japanese titles, MGS4, FF13 and WKS come to mind, so im not alone so it seems.

Can someone tell me what makes this game so amazing? Graphics are fine, but the gameplay looks as dull as piss. Seriously, we were playing games that played like this back on the PSX. Looks generic and boring!

No, but 20 plus years of experience playing games and making a pre emptive judgment on how good a game will be has never failed me. This looks mediocre. And what is going on with messages being censored so badly on this site as to cover up someone's opinion? I don't think I insulted anyone, maybe apart from PS3 fan boys? What a load of bollox.

Believe me, I work for "censors" and it's not censorship. Your post is still there and just a click away from those that wish to read it. Posts are boulleted if they stray off topic, have insults or are generally deemed to be unhelpful and cause thread "meltdown". An example would be "Game XXX looks like a PS1 game lulz..." It's not exactly conducive to good discussion.

I would accept your boulletted post is pretty ambiguous in that respect. If you feel this game is mediocre then you're allowed to say so and you have. If we really wanted to censor "negative" opinion, we'd just delete it!
