The official Lost Odyssey site has been updated with the Gold announcement of the game, along with some new images. And finally a confirmation of the World Map.
I thought that Blue Dragon was going to be the one game that got me into the world of RPG, but this seems set to surpass ALL my expectations. I can`t wait !.
Damn, I can't wait for this to arrive. Mass Effect will probably be good and I'm certainly getting it, but I sort of know what's coming... not so with this title.

Yeah it's looking more and more average unfortunately. Wasn't so bad at last year's TGS, but with games like Uncharted, Mass Effect, DMC4, it's just not that impressive anymore. Gameplay looks very last gen also. The only standout thing is the plot. I'm really hoping they don't drop the ball on this one.
If that's the case, then I love old-gen.

^^ i was one of few who did enjoy the emo trip that was X i sadly found X-2 enjoyable as well, made me laugh.
You're not the only one.. but I at that time, the word 'emo' wasn't used that much around the net. I dislike 'emo', the word and the people who act like one. Japanese goth's have cool haircuts by the way.

I liked both games too, although I almost died of embarressment when i booted up FFX-2 and had to sit through the first cutscene.
This game is guna be awesome, how anyone can say this is last gen is beyond me, SDF maybe.
The gameplat isn't last gen its just turn based there is a big difference, oddly enough a lot of people still like turn based games, myself being one of them.
Would not be shocked if it's better narrative-wise than any of the JRPGs released last gen, though that isn't too difficult a task. Why couldn't it still be released this holiday here though, the lips are synced to the English track, right? So that major part of translation must be done already! Oh well, least they're not as terrible as square with the "Oh petty Europeans, you can play the game a year after the Japanese release."

it would have probably bombed, or at least had a higher chance of doing so I think. The Holiday lineup is already crowded enough for US/Europe, and LO isn't as hyped compared to the other games it would of had to compete with...not to mention MS probably would have given it the Blue Dragon(Western) marketing push(they may still do so for the February release :/).
February is little less crowded, however, I would have probably released it in mid January or March.
Damn Good to hear that Lost Odyssey has gone gold. That means its perfectly done and is awaiting mass production. Damnit February 12th is soo far from now.
However since the Japanese will get the game in less than 1 month i can't wait for some impressions from Blim and Duckroll at Neogaf

^Greatly looking forward to get my hands on the LO Soundtrack as well! They are having a big event in Japan in about 1 week from now; more details on the release date of the Soundtrack should be revealing there as well...I will just be importing the OST then. ^_^
Hmm this sure will be so pleasing to me hehe, i will be playing this come feb, wen its release in the states but i can hardly wait its lookin to be real sweet here...got to get my hands on this hehe...
