Xbox 360

Finally! The Japanese voice pack for Naruto: Rise of a Ninja is available on the Marketplace. For just a tad less than 60 MB you'll finally be able to get some decent voice work for that nice little game. Video of some dialogs early in the game inside.

And this is a good example for people who think voices take up a lot of space on a game dvd or bluray. Welcome to the age of digital compression; they do not!

Thats what is and was so hilarious about things like Heavenly Sword having "20 gigabytes of audio" when even an AC3 track with 5.1, where EVERY second is new material, is only 400-600MB for a two hour movie. (But PS3 is 7.1 you say, go jump in a hole). Game audio assets are not a continuous stream but SAMPLES mixed together on the fly, and voices that are sampled into a 3D engine and scene are not in stereo, unless the devs are idiots and/or a person can have two mouths to speak in stereo (the key being 3D, not fixed or predetermined camera motion).

For voices and 3d-world samples a decent bitrate and sampling rate is all that is needed. Ambient, cinematic and nondirectional sounds can of course be the dogs balls and moonshine. But unless your game has a two hour realtime cutscene, you're unlikely to have more than a few hundred megs of audio.

How fanboy can you get to believe BS like that when everybody knows a CD full of uncompressed audio (thats 74/80 minutes, 700-800MB of 44khz stereo PCM - deviced in the late 70's) fits snugly into 60-90MB of quality MP3, AAC or WMA. Never underestimate the stupidity of average joes.

Offtopic: I hate Sakura, she annoys me to no end.

Anyways, japanese voices ftw!
Strange that it wasn't on the disc to begin with though,
I hardly believe that there wasn't enought space for it.
I don't really think space was the issue here, perhaps they just ran out of dev time, and had to finalize & publish the game before completing the Japanese voices.

Jesus. More screaming kids. I'm afraid I'll have to pass. I don't usually make it a concern of mine what little boys are doing in my games. Hehe.

Naruto is without any doubt one of the best anime series out there. it has fight scenes yes but it's not all about the fight scenes.

the sequel should rock.. but i'll never understand why the didn't go up to the end of the first (true) era..the ps3 Naruto is also looking promising ..handled by the Narutimate ninja/Accel team, covering the entire first era.

you must not know how many languages the game contains..cutscenes? theres about an hour and a half worth each language..UNCOMPRESSED in every format ..HS's audio claim that has already been validated, your post was baseless.
