Bungie has updated their website with a batch of new images from the Heroic Map Pack for Halo 3, which will be released on December 11th. It will launch with a price tag of 800 points and feature 3 new maps, and if you're patient you can grab it for free this spring.

I doubt that.. what I find odd about that statistic is that it figures out to around ~2 matches per player in that 24 hour period on average. I don't know about you, but when I play MP, I tend to play a good handful of rounds and not just a couple.. which means that for all of the people who played 10 or more rounds in that 24 hour period, there must be many that played like, one or less ;)

I don't believe they're lying, but I do find it odd that so many people are playing so few games daily. If the population statistics are correct, than MANY people must be playing a single game a day. Or perhaps it's counting co-op as single games?

1.8 million games is really not much for a 750,000 player population.

Considering I paid $60 for this game (when first party games were supposed to have been $50) and it only came with like 12 maps, these should be free. How about a thanks to your fans for making H3 the biggest day in entertainment history? Instead we're charged $10 for 3 maps.

i think its a rip off that they charge for these maps on such a popular game like halo. they are too money hungry. didnt they get enough money at launch? seriously, its one of the fastest selling games and they charge for 3 maps. they might as well just give it out for free because people will see that the game is worth buying if they can get free halo content.

I've been saying the same thing for so long, but it's obviously just not the way things work at MS.. MS is all about making maoney, not keeping gamers happy or creating communities.. Those things are all just "tools" for MS to make money..

And we pay for online gaming on top of this.. I wouldn't mind MS charging for content on the marketplace if at least all the rest including online (peer to peer!) gaming would be free, but even that's to much to ask obviously..

And now they've announced that Silver accounts will have to wait longer for demo's, and present is as an extra for Gold.. Which offcourse it isn't.. Because instead of giving Gold some extra they simply take away from Silver to make Gold look more interesting.. That's how they think at MS marketing.. Sad part is, we all fall for it because they know what they offer is what we want, and we the consumers are weak..

Yeah, i couldn't also believe this when i first heard it. Like, there's been a huge increase on the complains online about the gold memberships benifits when compared to silver, and then instead of giving something more to gold, they take from silver! This is absolutely ridiculous! Just like you said, they don't seem to be so much interested in pleasing the current user base, but instead shit on these and try to allure the ignorant possible new users.
I find this really disgusting i tell you guys...

well it is a little odd thay can pull off split screen multiplayer, yet cant take those 2 players online. i consider it something thats NEEDED tbh. playing on your lonesome online is one thing, but if your round a mates taking turns just dont cut it.

its honestly the ONLY area of halo 3 that i miss in cod. the rest cod4 obliterates it. and going from cod to halo is one of the most painfully boring experiences in gaming. its pretty hard to go from fast paced, intense, 2 bullet kill action with perks and weapons upgrades, to the slow as hell, moon jumps, full clip to kill a guy action of halo 3. i couldnt stop laughing at how bad i actually found it.

Bungie gave us barely any maps straight out of the box and most of them suck compared to Halo 2s so charging us 800 points for this is just BS...400-500 points would be way more reasonable
