Bungie has updated their website with a batch of new images from the Heroic Map Pack for Halo 3, which will be released on December 11th. It will launch with a price tag of 800 points and feature 3 new maps, and if you're patient you can grab it for free this spring.

Commented on 2007-12-06 17:43:45 In reply to mustacioi think its a rip off that they charge for these maps on such a popular game like halo. they are too money hungry. didnt they get enough money at launch? seriously, its one of the fastest selling games and they charge for 3 maps. they might as well just give it out for free because people will see that the game is worth buying if they can get free halo content.
And we pay for online gaming on top of this.. I wouldn't mind MS charging for content on the marketplace if at least all the rest including online (peer to peer!) gaming would be free, but even that's to much to ask obviously..
And now they've announced that Silver accounts will have to wait longer for demo's, and present is as an extra for Gold.. Which offcourse it isn't.. Because instead of giving Gold some extra they simply take away from Silver to make Gold look more interesting.. That's how they think at MS marketing.. Sad part is, we all fall for it because they know what they offer is what we want, and we the consumers are weak..

and yeah and to stay on topic, this thing with the maps this was discussed already. Same marketing bullshit to milk milk milk all the pimply 15 year old brats, unaware that this was already finished when the game shipped and was held back to make more money...
