Rockstar releases about thirty images of Grand Theft Auto IV. Some are old, some have never been seen before. Textures are a bit blurry at times, but considering the size of the city, the game still manages to be quite impressive.
Update: Five portraits added, in order: Roman Bellic, Brucie, Elizabeta, Manny and Vlad.

i dont care about all the graphical woos gta was never known for the best graphics, just the best gameplay was there and it was good enough to garantee a good experince, so ill play the hell out of it when
it's release ...hahah..

I don,t know why they are putting film grain onto the low textures It really does hurt the eyes and makes the background look really bad.

Even know i say that I can,t wait to see the gameplay videos because after all Pictures are never fun.

:S look like a Ps1 Game......... SOrry can you tell me what Ps1games you had? I want to buy them =P

And this is one of the main reasons why I sometimes read the retarded comments left by some people on this site. Honestly, you'd think the people that moan about poor depth of field and shaders and this and that have a Masters Degree in programing and visual effects. Stop talking cack! Thing is, most people on here have NO experience in the sort or any artistic ability whatsoever, which makes their comments laughable when they pass judgment without a whim. All I seem to read is how horrible games look. Let me state a fact to you all: THIS GAME LOOKS FANTASTIC VISUALLY! Take into account the scale of a project like this and it makes it even more impressive. And NO, it HASN'T been fucking downgraded either. I hate it when people try to claim this! Are they part of the dev team or something? Tripe talkers!

Everything about this game is SLOPPY! I'm not a graphic whore but I know they could have done all the textures/models/everything better. Look at Crackdown! The game scale was huge and the graphics were amazing. These textures are just hideous! It better be so much fun that I forget the fact that my eyes are bleeding or else it's just a sad attempt at cashing in on the GTA nameplate.

No, but you need to be in either of these professions to understand what it takes to get things looking at a certain level. Do you not think the devs would have already thought about adding super detailed high res textures to make everything look as good as they could? I'm 100% certain they would have if they could have. Obviously the hardware wasn't capable of delivering with acceptable loading times. When people see this game properly on their screens in motion, their tunes will change. Anyway, more intricate detail doesn't always equal better aesthetics from an artistic point of view.

Dude you can't be serious. These screenshots look like $h!t. You call that good lighting. What do you people see in these screens that you haven't seen in the PS2 GTA titles. I ain't trying to hear no bs about how the scale of this game justifies the graphics. Saints Row looked light years better than this, and that game was a first generation 360 title with just as much scale as this game. And what about Assassins Creed. Please stop defending these developers and demand the quality that justifies why we now have to pay $60 dollars for a game. These new consoles were made to make great graphics easily. Aint no excuse people. Scale my ass.
