PS3

Our friend TTP captured and encoded this first video from the demo of Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan! available since this morning on the Japanese PSN. More videos will follow soon, without a doubt much more interesting than this mini-game.
Update: Second video added, by DjMizuhara this time. It's not really much more interesting...
Update 2: Third video is up, by TTP this time, showing finally some nice combat.
Update 3: Another video is up, with some town exploration and a kinda weird ending...
Update 4: Last video is online, this one by TTP, with more exploration.

In the genre, its far more beautiful and captivating than even 360's Ninja Gaiden 2...which being in Action/Adventure genre should've surpassed everything else but looks like crap in comparison to PS2's god of war 2 that was also made in 2 years time and on a last-gen system at that HeHeHe.
Yhea... you're a real Nostradamus. Now go play dead, will'ya?

That ending is the way how you learn new attacks. These small key-moments which look like mini games actually show the attack which you'll learn.

You saw the cat jumping at the mouse's back, right? The mouse was PWNED! So that guy learns something from it, just stab someone right behind you.

Yakuza 3 is going for the best, with more minigames, gameplay enhancements and the special focus on true feudal Japan makes it the best. Seriously, how did you get this position of official forum-spammer at sony? I mean...i could talk out my ass all day about games i've never played too if it payed my meals.

It's rather funny that you cite the fallacy of Farooq's statements on the fact that he has not "played them", yet most of the comments herein are from members of this site watching gameplay videos. And for those who had the opportunity to play it, it is doubtful that most of them have enough understanding of Japanese to make heads or tales what their motivations of their actions were (let alone the 10 minute cinematic ending).

Having played Yakuza and lacking any real Japanese language talent to tackle Yakuza 2, I am genuinely excited about this game. The demo had everything that I thought it would and should. If you like action games, go play Devil May Cry 4 when it is released in several weeks, as this is not the game for you. If you want to see wonton violence, wait for Ninja Gaiden 2.

However, if you want to play a game that has a good story, intriguing characters, and just enough combat style to make you want to beat the crap out of the next street punk, then this will likely fit the bill if the demo is any indicator of the overall design of the game.

LostToys: as far as i know all posts from this Farooq fellow has been pure sony fanboyism through and through. And this post is nothing short of the same if you ask me. He praises this game to the skies while taking some weird and unmotivated pot shot against the 360 and NG2.

I think this might be a nice action/adventure game, but still i have to say it seems to have it's share of flaws too. The graphics, while not bad, are not breathtaking either. The animations look rather crappy and the fighting system seems to be pretty similar to Yakuza, meaning that it's fun for a while but rather shallow in the end. So i guess that if you liked the first game this will probably entertain, but i doubt it's for everyone.

just came across this little gem. i agree with megido, this wont be a rich, lush, fighting system...but, it looks fun. a sort of GTA meets feudal japan with better graphics. if they add some char customization, smooth out the fighting a bit, and this could be a real gem. i think it is silly to compare this to ninja gaiden 2. im not ninja gaiden champion, but that game had a nice deep fighting system. so deep that it killed your friends watching. but the shine on this one is story, free reign environment, and just a little more non-linear adventure.
