I just downloaded the a vid on gametrailers, with my PS3!?1 and watched it on mah flatscreen! oh, sorry, I was marking out to my new found option, wmv support works.. don't worry, I still like this website alot for the high res screenshots.

Oh, and to better describe this game, I think it looks like serious sam with too many walls now, and the AI is certainly not better than GTA. Well, maybe that steroid zombie has some speacial moves. It looks fun, I'd rather have serious sam 3 though.

One thing I dont understand, is that tons of Zombie mods have come out since HL2 was released, and with this game not being a new idea - the fact that it isn't due out till mid-08 is really fucking pathetic. Compare that to the engine, I'm not sure this will even be that interesting to anyone come July.
A lot of HL2 zombie mods went into development over the past few years, but very few have actually been released. You can count them all on one hand. Besides, how often do you see a cornfield level? Maybe it's just the mapper in me talking, but I'm a sucker for atmosphere and that place is just oozing with it. I know I won't pass this up in the summer.

In what way is GTA related to this game at all?

This game has some serious potential, too bad that it has been delayed constantly, but im sure it will benefit from the extra development time.

Crisp clean graphics that don't look about as choppy as Quake II are always nice
errrmmm... you bring in quake II??? that game is 12 years old and the engine isnt used in any of the newer games as far as i know.
So comparing the Source engine with QuakeII is kinda strange i think ;)

ontopic: looking forward to this one... but as far as i know some magazines told us that this should be released on ps3 aswell (but like always, some months after Pc and 360), is that true?

*edit* btw you can play with 8 players.... 4 on human side 4 on zombie side and a whole bunch of ai zombies to aid them :D
This sounds like chaos, massacre and mayhem

This game + 3 of your mates = hell of a good time
Exactly. This looks like an absolutely fantastic multiplayer game and one that's different enough that would get me to play. I usually can't stand multiplayer FPS titles, but this really looks different enough to give it a shot.

I really love the idea of this game.Reminds me of I am legend or 28 days(weeks)later. The sad thing about this game is that it is in First Person and it seems to be just about the shooting and grenading all the time.Wish it was in third person and a puzzle/adventure game.Stay away from the dark (I am legend). Now it will probably just be another XBOX game (FPS and grenades).

The "AI Director" sounds like an interesting twist on spawn point management. I think this will be an incredibly fun game... if they can release it this year.

Source Engine sure shows its age, but wait until you judge the gameplay. Valve usually has very good taste when it comes to buying a developer (see Portal), and I'm sure Turtle Rock was worth the price.
Episode 2 begs to differ. And source engine has to be the most versatile engine out there, with looks/performance coming into the equation. Wait till you see Episode 3, Valve is tweaking it even more. ;)

But, yes this game looks freaking amazing, and it'll be a blast to play over Live.

NEED IT!, WANT IT!,.....THIS IS `THE` mulitplayer game I`ve dreamt about ALL of my life!!. I`ve been following this since it`s first announcement yonks ago.
Surely the pc version will come out before the 360 one (thats what Turtle Rock said anyway).

I`m predicting Q2 for pc and Q3-4 for 360, but I`m getting it for both formats.

You`ve all seen the remake of Dawn of the Dead yes!?......well if you go to YouTube and type in `Left 4 Dead`, then there`s a video on there showing off a VERY early build of one of the levels from the game and guess where this level is set?..........that`s right, it`s in the same Mall that features in the film.

God I can`t wait!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Than again, is this game going to be more than a GTA clone with a zombie filter.,
Do you only look at pictures and make a point of avoiding textual info regarding games? This game will be in NO WAY related to GTA, and thinking it possibly could be isn't even an honest mistake.

Graphics aren't stellar by any means, but they aren't too shabby especially considering that there are quite a few characters on screen, and there's quite a bit of speed there. I'm not digging the inconsistency and lack of imagination with the zombies though. If you can have gorilla-like zombie monsters, then why would you have fat exploding zombies in lieu of something more creative? Or better yet, why not just omit the more outlandish monsters?

From what I've seen, the game is maybe too fast. It has too much of an arena shooter mod feel than what I'd expect in a horror shooter with zombies. I really don't care if the zombies are fast, but the player could stand to be a tad slower. Granted, I may change my mind when I actually play it, and I'm definitely looking forward to doing so.

Playing as the Infected sounds like a ton of fun. This is going to be a fackin' blast.

I was actually comparing Quake II to other games, how they are all so jagged and choppy (Take Halo 3 for example) I'd much rather see clean crisp graphics with smooth edges and a good frame rate then mosaic like visuals =)
