Xbox 360 PS3

Atari and Eden Studios released this brand new trailer of Alone In The Dark, showing quite a few gameplay sequences and looking quite nice. Maybe finally a return to glory for this ancient series?

~Awsum!~
It's got the looks and atmosphere of silent hill in an urbanized way and the mechanics/views of resident evil.

Loved the firstwo games, missed out on the 3rd iteration, im intrigued now!

+5pts :)

The puzzle solving looks pretty cool, interesting indeed. Graphics are ok, it looks like an inferiour version of Silent Hill 5 graphically.

Animations are poor. They look way too awkward. Kind of reminds me of Dark Sector in that regard, which is not a good thing.

I read the interview with the developers, and it seems that these guys will be the first to actually pull off first and third person engines in the same game. The game will have eight episodes each with about 10-15 hours of gameplay. I can't wait for this game.

OMG that looks so so so good. visually and lighting wise its stunning. and as long as the gameplay is good and their planned "bitesized chunks" level progression works out then its definately one i will pick up, crazy that before i saw that i really wasnt expecting much from it. i mean, even his jacket has physics.

ONLY thing i didnt like much was the transition from third to first person. other then that tho, looked awesome.

looks awesome

the animation could use more twickng, and the angle of the camera when his walking is wield(needs fixing) other than that it looks decent

Looks way better then it did in the past! and it actually showed gameplay mechanics. one of the most interesting inventory screen i've seen in a while! There probablygoing to incorporate some sort of upgradeable inventory that also changes you atire... just a hunch...

Animation seems a little choppy but i'll wait for the demo first before making a full judgement... grapgic are gorgeous, music ok... pick up and use any weapons is a big plus!!!

Loved the original, on of the first '3D' games i'd played... right from the very first puzzle at the start where you push the wardrobe over the trapdoor! :D
oh dude, sweet nostalgia. Me too, this was my first PC game ever, at a friends place. I was always there, playing it!

And by the looks of this, its gonna be a winner

i can't wait for this game, havn't play horror games in a while & yeah it does look good but not great, the graphic & animation are in the same level with silent hill 5 dark sector as some people in here already mantion it, but if the story is good, it ll be a good start with the first episod

Did I miss a recent Alan Wake video or preview or something that would explain why people are excited about it? I mean, there was that first trailer way back when that was impressive at the time, but I haven't seen anything new in a long while.

I loved the original trilogy when I was younger. Then New Nightmare came out and crapped on the series. This is really looking to redeem the franchise from a bad 4th installment and a really bad movie. I'm very happy with what I've seen in this trailer.

Heres' hoping.
