Far Cry 2 teaser
PC Xbox 360 PS3

Ubisoft sends this teaser of the first-person shooter Far Cry 2 on the PC. Developed by the Montreal studios in Canada, il will also be available on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. First episode hero Jack Carver will be back, this time with new missions set in Africa. Release date has not been announced other than a 2008 timeframe.

Saw the leaked video of the demo, and wow, very impressed, hopefully the upcoming trailer will have some action, not to mention be HD =)

those animals move very realistic!!! cant wait to hunt one and eat it lol
(if thats included in the game)

i wonder how vegetarians are going to survive on this game?
maybe theres an option to eat grass

Far Cry needs to be killed. What an overhyped series :( I really doubt the PS3/360 versions are going to worthwhile
I feel the same way. Hated the original Farcry, the gameplay just doesn't appeal much to me.

But damn those are some fine gfx...

tid - The console version is gonna be like the PC, no more "spin off".
The only thing that is gonna be different is the graphics of course.
But how much different is yet to be seen and too early.
The Consoles have the power to create the graphics of the PC Crysis but don't have the RAM to handle the size of Crysis levels.

I am not tech guy, but I did hear it in a video interview. The size is the problem, but the graphics is not.

Well sure Crysis is a huge huge world with great graphics. But I don't care if they decrease the levels, as long as Crysis comes to PS3/360 so I can play it.

Until that wild dream comes true, I will stick with Far Cry 2.

It did look a bit like out of place in the teaser, but I wouldnt be shocked if I saw something like that in reality which you did Zeuxis.

I know what mud huts are, and i also know that the mud hut village shown in the trailer is completely over the top and exaggerated thus killing the sense realism show in the trailer.

Can you be more specific what do you see exaggerated in this mud huts? Because to me these look exacly like the ones ONLY seen in famouse african dogon village in Mali. I see nothing over the top about them, so I really don't understand your point, sorry. Im accualy VERY impressed how realistic they look in this trailer.

How can it be over the top when there is mud huts in africa :S

They wanted to capture true essence of africa, and they added mud huts as well.
At first when I saw them in the teaser I thought they didn't belong in this game.

But now that Zeuxis showned me the exact type of huts then I didn't care because the more the devs go by real design of africa the better you get the feeling you are there.

exacly, I watched a video on their dev blog saing that they went to africa so I am sure they know what they doing. Will be interesting to see what else they got in there.
