Our friend DjMizuhara is back from his favorite games shop with both versions of Devil May Cry 4, and already uploaded this first video, from the attract mode.
Spoilers warning!

Hah, i could stand the first 20 seconds of the first video, until the guy started singing, then it turned to pure ass. I just couldn't stand it :D

Still, super hyped for DMC4. Truly a first day purchase.

Yeah, although it'll come across as a really weird thing to do, talking about the ACTUAL GAME around these comments threads, I'm really pretty excited at this point. I just love the mix of influences in this game, and the subtle humour to keep things from getting out of hand serious and pathetic, while still maintaining an irrefutable sense of coolness.

The humour in DMC4 is far from subtle (and far from funny, too). And you probably wanted to use a word "sublime" or "lofty", not " pathetic" (unless you really meant it). :P

Nope, I meant what I said. It'd really take a child (or a mind of one) to appreciate DMC had it gone all out with its seriousness.

You think Nero stopping Berial's sword with the TIP of his own sword isn't humour? It is. It's coolness embedded in humour, keeping it from being downright rediculous. That's what's so incredibly clever about the way DMC is presented, because it treads a fine line between cool and absolutely stupid.

A lot of people don't realise that it's all done deliberately over the top and just see the stupidity of it, but that's their loss.

I was "okay" with the music until he sang...I quited.

Besides, the game comes out next week so I won't watch any more videos anyway, gonna have it fresh when I buy the game and play it myself.

I doubt they really care, the group who sing it are massive in Japan have been for 15 years so it'll do well over there.

We very rarely get any Japanese song in a game, (FFX being the only one I can remember) I'd be surprised if they keep it for the EU/US release

I have listened to plenty of rock music in video games...mostly user videos and MTV...I just do not like it, and I have noticed that many people use rock music in their user videos for games even it doesn't fit the game.

Ah well, good thing I have my iPod wherever I go.

Let stop with music genre here and focus on DMC4.

so your saying rock doesnt suit devil may cry...LMAO, its probably the most fitting music for the game. hell, dante plays a bloody guitar.

its a good song tho, but as simon said, not quite DMC3 trailer levels of awesome.

Wow this is getting ridiculous, some of us own both consoles and would like to get the superior version (even if they are close). The demos were quite possibly old builds so I will need impressions from people who have it.

I know the game looks amazing either way but I'm only buying one version and I want the best looking one, I'm fine with either controller so that doesn't affect me. This isn't about 360vsPS3 fanboyish crap...not everyone cares about stupid console wars...

Er, if you own BOTH consoles, then you can DL BOTH demos. So you could decide which one looks best.[

The first 2 video are from the PS3 and either of them included any gameplay footage. The Gameplay video (3rd video added) is from the 360 version on DMC4. So to say that you can tell which version is which is complete trash.

meaning the 3d vid was the only one that allowed me to notice wich version it is, seeing as both of the first vids arent actual running gameplay, 1 is a montage of clips both old and new, and the second is a vid i beleive is not rendered in real-time, but is a video...so no, its not BS that i can tell what version it is, the last one is the only actual gameplay one, and i can tell the version because of slight differences in textures.

BTW, thank you for the EXCELLENT quality :)

Well I've got more video coming from both PS3 and 360, to be honest playing them side by side I can't tell a difference, let alone in video form.
Lets see if I can trip U up with the different versions ;P

The loading times on the 360 aren't bad at all, longest 360 loading screen I've seen has been 3 seconds max.

lol awesome, well i cant tell the difference during gameplay, i mean it would be way too hard especially by vid and without them side by side, but i can see the differences in cutscenes so as long as there's cutscenes in the vids ill be able to tell, bring it on! its great the loading on 360 is very fast too, even if its slightly slower than ps3, its great because it does it without the install..how long was that BTW?

anyway, you have to applaud Capcom for their MT Framework engine..this game looks AMAZING and so close on both consoles its truly impressive!

so?...21 minutes for 5GB of your HDD used up, and mere seconds of difference in loading? personally i dont think its worth it but if PS3 if the only option, its not much to complain about anyway, you could allways do something while you wait, and 21 minutes is better than the 40 it used to be.

Not all type of rock...I for one like the ones from Devil May Cry 1 and 2...the ones WITHOUT the lyrics were there is only instrumental type.
And for your own sake, put spoiler tags when you want to talk about music, because this is not the right thread for right.

I just saw the gameplay...awesome stuff!

The knight scene was very cool, very awesome music for sure.

One thing I have read is that the music plays over and over again in some areas that it gets too repetitve...even the demo was like that.

Anyway, good job DjMizuhara!
