No, Rockstar sueing EA because of the GTA episode in the Simpsons game was nothing but a (very stupid) fake.

You got to love the GTA games for the extra touches of comedy like this.
You can either view it as Rockstar mocking Nintendo for Wii not being able to handle GTA4 or you can view it as Rockstar paying homage to Nintendo.

The graphics don't look any better than any other shot. Its just the angle in which the capture is taken and close up with the building in the background, it makes it seem better.
