Lost Odyssey: Cutscene

I've been asked to encode a specific cutscene from Lost Odyssey. I'm not going to describe what happens in that scene, but needless to say there are MAJOR SPOILERS in there, and anyone planning to play that game should definitely not watch this video. For the others, it shows the good and bad points of the game, with a nice directing, good voice acting, and the various pros and also cons of the Unreal Engine 3. Again, MAJOR SPOILERS.
Also important, our reencoding system for streams and mp4/avi is down for the moment. I won't be able to repair it until at best tomorrom afternoon, so you'll have to survive with wmv only until then. Sorry about that.
Update: In the end I had to move the reencoding system to another server, and rewrite most of it. Everything seems to be working as before, and I've even upped the bitrate a bit so the video quality should be a bit better. Let me know if anything seems really different from before, in a bad way of course!

So, I'm guessing this vid will involve heavy amounts of self shadowing and shadowing in general if it shows some cons of the UE3.

I think this is a great scene, very well done, with a great voice acting and camera direction.
I cryed when I saw this scene the first time, lots of emotion in it, and my first time ever crying with a videogame.

6 hours into the second disc but that has by far been the best moment so far.
That is how emotion should be done in a game.
Makes me interested in their next game. Cry-On... ^_^

My favourite scene in the game, it was deffinately the best bit of the game for me, which was kind of odd being so soon into the game.
I see IGN have given it an 8/10 which isn't too bad :D

I never pay attention to western review scores for JRPG's.
Unless they have "Final Fantasy" or "Dragon Quest" in the title, it's unlikley they get a good score...
From what I've played so far (22 hours), I'd say this is the best JRPG I've played in the last 3 years and easily tops the mess that was FF12.

personally I'm not into this game much, the main character looks like an idiot, and his armor is even more feminine then usual even for a JRPG. it would also be nice if the game had a little more visual style, it has alot of style in terms of character design etc, but the game still looks like any other underneath...

i have not play JRPG games n a long time, in fact i did play only ones, that was ff10 & man i extremly enjoyed it,
that game has open my mind about JRPG gener,
anyways watching this spoiler, its not going to stop me giving this game a chance, it seems like a deep story, from what i seen so far.

Don't watch this, its a big spoiler. I'm not watching anymore of these videos. The Only thing I don't like about the cut scenes is that they are not pre-rendered. I find myself looking at the graphical imperfections more than the scene content or story. I never played a whole rpg but I might buy this one. If you count Mass Effect, then I just lied.

Wow...very powerfull scene.made me cry.i cant wait for this game.ofcourse ima put it in japanese.alot more dramatic and they put way more emotion in their voice acting.but wow.
