Bungie has just posted some screenshots from one of the map included in the Legendary Map Pack for Halo 3 to be released this spring. It's name is Ghost Town (codename O.K. Corral). The environment, a cross between a lost factory and jungle, seems to have plenty of hiding places for campers. Please note that the first map pack has been launched December 11, 2007 for 800 Microsoft Points.

Aslong as to many Halo addicts and other gamers buy into it on consoles companies like MS will continue to abuse it to create extra income.. Only way to stop this BS is to not buy it and hope everybody else does that same.. Unfortunatly there's to many gamers outthere that continue to buy it anyway, bassicly spoilling it for themselfs and everybody else.. MS has managed to turn something completly arround that was normal on the PC for over 12 years, free DLC to reward gamers that bought a game and to keep a game fresh has turned into nothing more then another tool to make money.. Ms cares more about that then the people that bought and play their games, otherwise they would not split those people online by charging for MP maps..
And people wonder why PC gaming suffers a bit atm.. (ignorant) consolegamers buying all that profitable premium DLC is 1 reason.. The industry is not stupid, they know they can't ripoff PC gamers the same way, so they focus on the consoles.. Money makes the world go arround..
I was stupid enough to buy DLC for PGR2 aswell on the 1st Xbox.. I haven't done since, I only download the free stuff for my Xbox 360 games, f*ck the rest.. I paid enough for the game itself already, hell I even pay extra to be able to play online with my friends.. Especially bigselling succesfull gamemakers have no excuses charging extra for DLC that any kid with some talent could make in a week or 2 having the right tools (proper mapeditor etc).. Halo3 or CoD4 sold so many copies they don't need the extra income from DLC at all, but since everybody else does it, and the gamers buy into it, they'd be (financially) stupid not to do it..

Commented on 2008-02-22 23:12:32I also hate (with a passion) that we have to pay for this kind of thing.
When will MS (and other companies that charge ridiculous prices for DLC) realise that you'll make more money -in the long run- by having free DLC.
Say console A and B both have a service by which people can download extra game content . Now say only one of these consoles gave the content for free, which console would you be more inclined to buy?
Ach, I'm ranting again.

There just should be MORE DLC then what we have been getting in all games.. even more so for Halo/Forza.
