Sony also releases no less than twenty-three screenshots of MLB 08: The Show, still very impressive visually. If it plays as good as it looks, it should be a very interesting title.
Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)

They do have some brilliant people, but the brilliance doesn't rub off on every other poster. I don't want to go too offtopic from MLB08, but I can bring up many specific instances of people there being wrong about things. It's fine if you don't want to do any of your own research or learn anything yourself, but don't try to discredit me because you simply choose to believe someone else.
I assume they're correct because I haven't seen one person go through any effort to deny their claims (including IW), and yet we've seen multiple people support it--and on top of that, they were right about Halo 3 among other titles.

I'm also doubting it based upon my knowledge of the Beyond3d forum, and how they seem to believe they know more than they actually do. Their confidence in pixel counting and the few posters there that do it.
Why is the burden of proof on me? They haven't proven the COD4 pixel count at all, it's simply something they stated. The burden of proof should first be on them. However like I said before, 600p is NOT something they've stated for the COD4 360 version. They said they took that count from a screenshot, and I believe even you can decipher what's wrong about that.
IW doesn't want to be dragged into every small forum post made by anyone, it's a smart stance. Why confirm or deny anything? What would that do for you?
Do you see how many people actually post on Beyond3d and in the resolution threads? You have 3 dozen different people at the very most. Personally I wouldn't even bother to discredit them because I believe they don't have much credit for themselves, but it does bother me that many people will believe anything they hear on the internet without any proof at all.
One guy there was proven right in ONE case ever, AFAIK. Halo 3, nothing more. I could tell that game was running lower resolution as well, it was fairly obvious.
Want me to raise some questions right here of their 'results'? Virtua Fighter 5 they say displays a resolution beyond the 1280x720 when rendering in 720p. If they're pixel counting, how is that possible? I believe they stated skate on 360 ran at a lower resolution than the PS3 version, but I believe they miscounted both times because the game uses a TON of DOF effects, which would easily throw off any pixel counting technique... I could go on and on, but can you provide proof of their claims?

Commented on 2008-02-25 20:28:55 In reply to GriftGFXI'm certain that 99.999% of people never notice at all. How many people would suspect Halo 3 actually rendered at 640p if noone had ever said anything? Still further, how many care even now either way? There's so little real knowledge in the public of 3d graphics that really all that matters is 'does something look good', and 'jaggies' work themselves into that of course, but if you can't perceive the deficit it doesn't matter.
