Haze: Release date & trailer

This time it's for real, Haze will be out on Playstation in May 2008. Ubisoft just released a press release proudly annoucing the final - let's hope so - shipping date of the game, as well as an annoucement trailer featuring cinematics and gameplay. Phew.

@ E3 it looked on the demonstrations like a WAy generic&bad looking crysis, and vehicles parts looked like shit.

It was allways PS3 on the paper, but we all knew the truth: Multi-plataform NOA.
And then and even now... still looks like shit, sbot.

I don't get the hype for this game. Everything I've seen of this game doesn't exceed average.

Graphics wise and gameplay wise it doesn't look all that exciting.

Is there really any hype for this game? The only hype i have seen for haze has been from ubisoft themselves. Gamers in general simply don't seem to care about this game at all, and every preview i have seen has been pretty "meh" about it.

Personally i just thinks that this is a generic shooter with a terrible gimmick and shitty character design.

As was pointed out, the publishers have always claimed it's exclusive, yet when the website first went up it claimed it would be released on the 360 and PC as well as PS3 and the developers continued to claim this is true for a while. Sony themselves even pointed out that this was the first game to be developed for the PS3 and THEN ported to the 360.

So while it's not official, it is a very badly kept secret.

Like others have already said, it's a timed exclusive. To be fair, that is a guess, but a pretty well educated guess. As other gaming sites have pointed out, this exhibits all the traits of other games that have been multiplatform.

Timed exclusivity (with certain NDA in place) have been pretty common this generation. I would suspect that we won't see this on 360 until Q1 2009. That's just because the common 6 month exclusivity deal bumps them out of the holiday marketing season.

I'm not upset about the deal, and with so many shooters on 360 I think their audience can wait.

Has Ubisoft or FreeRadical said that Haze is timed exclusive for PS3?
If not, stop saying it is.

It is better to hear something from the source than just saying it is because you predict it and start a rumor.

I say, so far Haze is a PS3 exclusive, end of story.

Unless Ubi pulls a Far Cry and release it on 360 and calls it "Haze: Instincts" haha, ironcally it would fit, with one of Nectar's features being foresight :P

I'm sure he won't, but that doesn't change the fact that he doesn't get the hype for it. Or better yet, can you explain the hype? If not, why are you getting it?
