The happy hedgehogs of Sega France have invited us in their office for an afternoon, locked-up in a dark room with the first four levels of Condemned 2: Bloodshot. Since our direct-feed capture laptop is going through some technical issues, we had to grab footage the good ol'way. Be assured that we'll make it up as soon as we get a review disc. Until then, we propose you the classy introduction of the game, a five minutes long gameplay montage recorded during a session in the second level, and about thirty screenshots. More videos will follow quickly, stay tuned !

Breathtaking. The atmosphere and presentation is just top-notch (save for the cheesy dialog and cinematics). The graphics are awesomely detailed and gritty.
FYI, the game got a B+ (A-, B, B+) in the latest EGM I just received, and a 90% from Gamepro.

The earlier screens for this game were asstastic but its shaping up rather miraculously. Perhaps Monolith have realised they actually have to put out a decent this-gen title before they go out of business.

Condemned was brilliant. The story was good too, I think. This one looks even creepier, which is startling. Too bad my Xbox is RROD'ed. :(

Not watching this for spoilers, but thanks loads Gamersyde guys for this! The 1st game was mindblowing (lol at the poor people who never played the 1st game and don't know what the deal is with this series), and from what I've seen, they're making a proper sequel. Ethan's story continues, and now he has a beard.
But do they ever explain the ending to the 1st game? Hope someone can answer me that, because that was one HUGE cliffhanger.
If you didn't find Condemned 1 scary, then I admire your balls. But I found it really freaky, disturbing, and damn creepy at times. A lot of jump moments in there. Enemies popping out from behind pillars. Santa mannequin dolls, that department store was so epic. Also, the school and the locker (if you've seen Se7en you'll get the reference). I hope some mention is given to the last murder case with the SKX and the murderer's father deal.

Agree with digi_matrix.
In fact, the people claiming that they didnt think it was scary is probably the same type of people that never think anything is scary, and assume they are awesome due to that ;)
But the reality is that fear is something we all have and feel. If you dont allow yourself to be immersed so deep in a game or movie, to allow yourself to be scared shitless, its just a different kind of fear.
A fear of letting go of control, a fear of letting yourself be afraid.
Its like chicks who hold their hands over their eyes if they dont like scary movies, its a fear of the fear. Why not just let yourself be scared? Its a quite refreshing feeling :)

This game will pwn so hard. I even had to bust-out the original today, blow off some dust from the cover, and give it a go. So good...

I heard this game got a 5/10 from edge and that it has been delayed somewhat.
The latter isn't all that shocking, but a 5/10? Ouch... I can't even imagine the game getting less than a 6 if it were only half as good as the first one.

There's supposed to be a marketplace demo up, but I can't find it.
Did they pull the demo of marketplace again or what? It's nowhere to be seen. Not on EU marketplace or NA marketplace. Has it been up at all, who anounced it to begin with?
There's no mention of it at major nelson's URL either, nor on Xbox.com?!
Edit: Apparently Sega jumped the gun a bit and retracted their earlier statement. *sigh*

Fret not. In time you shall experience the glory. But I fear to tell you, the demo is only of part of the first level, which is great, but is also the most unamazingest part of this amazing game. If one needs a demo to tell them to buy this game at this point, then it's just not for that person. Said person will not enjoy it like the rest. I knew this franchise would be simply amazing from the first footage I saw of it here before 360 launched...
