PS3

The release of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue is finally in just a few weeks, so Sony released a new batch of images, all looking as good as always. You can always count on Polyphony for the visuals, but I sure would like to know why it always takes them months to localize a racing game.
Update: Looks like the wait is actually justified since Sony announced that compared to the Japanese released our own GT5P will have a lot more cars, one more track, split-screen, tuning, drift mode and more. Nice!

This is definitely replay (or photo mode) but still real-time graphics for sure. Replays might have post-processing to make the cars look better but that's about it.

Looks incredible :)

I'm liking those car models; the reflections and lighting in the game are almost spot on.

The game is looking great! And this is in-game, just with AA :P (played the GT5:Prologue)

That is AMAZING
That's the Photo mode. never played GT4? Even there the cars and environments looked very good. They put a lot of AA and some filters on the pics, and what you see is the result ^^ But indeed, it looks cool.
The car models are, as ever in GT, the best you see in any games.
When is the release date for the full game? Any announcements allready? Something 2009? Man, that's too long...

Those are backgrounds you see on the title screen. It's real time, but far simpler than you might expect. The background isn't completely 2d, but it's really just a backdrop (and not fully realized).

when I froze the screen I had no AA problems, didn't look at the shadow, but to say the pics are not in-game is false.

remember this is an updated version of the japanese game that was finished at liepzeg, so it's possible the PD have used full spe on cell to render the effects separate to the GPU.

anyway it's still the best race graphics on any system, and I can't wait.
Say what you will, but the screens have AT LEAST 16xFSAA, which just isn't possible at 60fps on any console.

If some in-game picture have 16xAA then is it not in-game? What is it then? lol
Japan demo looks exactly same on my TV, so relax.
