Xbox 360 PS3

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is (finally) back with these two new galleries full of images and artworks. It's important to note that the graphical style has been simplified since we last saw the game.

What people seem to be missing here is that it doesn't look like sf2 animation-wise, it IS SF2...AGAIN. Only with high res graphics. This whole game is just so retarded. I wish they'd just stop raping the series over and over. How many versions of SF2 have we seen now? It's got to be over 10 at least?

The next person who says SF2 is the best fighter ever, i will personally kick square in the nuts.

Oooh! All this SF2 is agrying up my blood! I'll be in the angry-dome if you need me.

To be brutally honest I still think SF3: Third Strike kills this and SF4 both with a fuck-sized hadouken.

I've already brought my tooth brush over to the King of Fighters 12 camp.
Agreed 100%. Even low-res SF3s still blows this and SFIV away.

The REAL, high-quality 2D fighter is KOFXII (footage starts at 28 seconds):

SF2 is the best fighter ever.

People have failed to grasp what this game is about, trying to compare it to today's standards. It originally started out as a HD update to what many consider the greatest SF game todate. In fact I don't know of a single game that has had such a long shelf life as ST. People have been playing it for 15 years and its still going strong!

Anyway, it started as a HD update with rebalanced mode to iron out all the random brokeness of some of the cast. I'm sure if Capcom had intended this to be a full blown game not a downloadable game, then we would see something like SF3 in HD, but its not. Its a $10 game!

The games art cost more than any xbla title todate. It looks great, especially when you look back at how the game originally looked, Udon have really saved this game from looking a complete mess.

Game is confirm as a summer release, no actual date has been confirmed but it will be out prior Evo 2k8.

amen brother. man, the good old days of SF2 world warrior on the SNES...i still play that from time to time. it was just a cartridge of shimmering golden kick-ass. Not long ago, i had to bury my SNES, and pay my final respects...the idea of a SF2 on current gen elates me, so hope this comes to beautiful fruition!

*kicks TheFuriousOne square in the nuts*

Seriously, SF2 was a hoot when it was new, in fact it WAS the best damn fighter in the world back in 1992, but anybody calling it good today (yes, by today's standards, that's what relevant) is just seeing it through the rosy clouds of nostalgia.

Why would I want to play SF2 when there are games like Guilty Gear X2, Third strike...or even better, VF4 or Tekken out there to enjoy? SF2 is OLD and it plays as such as well. Nostalgia might make you think this game still kicks ass, but as far as i'm concerned it really doesn't. Plenty of games does what it does and way better.

But that's just my opinion of course.

SF2 is the best fighter ever.
I'll respectfully disagree. It's not even the best core title in the SF franchise ever. It's impossible to overstate its historical importance to the franchise or the genre, but that doesn't make it best.

The best version of SF2 is already available on the Xbox 360's arcade. Hyper Fighting FTW! And an online version of SSF2T is already available through the magic of backwards compatibility and the undeniably awesome Anniversary Edition of SF3.

it looks ok. Honestly Id like to see it in Udon's style and not in the original style with a hint of their style. I still dont see the point in this game...SF4 is around the corner and at this point it looks like SF2 in 3d with a few new characters, so why waist the time? I love Udon, but I was expecting their style and artwork in the HD ver instead of a slightly updated rez ver

I said it was the best because Megido dared someone to say it.
But in my opinion Super Turbo is the best, like I mentioned in my post can anyone tell me any videogame title that has survived for 15years and is played as much as it was then??? No.

Most people don't know but Hyper Fighting is the number selling xbla title of all time.
However the anniversary edition is just aweful. Backbone are working on implementing a proper lagless network code like that of GGPO. STHD will be a must buy for sure!

Ok so anyway what alot of people seem not to get is that this is just a re balancing of street fighter 2 after years of tournament play and the producer is a tournament player himself. The frames are staying the same because of this and if you don't like the new art you can play with the old sprites because of the fact that it is all the same frames and hit detection. and you can even play with the new art in the classic arcade mode with zero balancing changes exactly the same as when you played in 1992 in the arcade. So here is an interview with the producer on it http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/17990
