This game has come a long way since the announcement a couple of years back, but D3 Publisher and Digital Extremes are now ready to release Dark Sector on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 at the end of this month. Today we have a trailer, showing some gameplay elements from the game.
Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum @Driftwood Awesome! I’m loving it! It does show a much crisper picture and the frame rate looks good! I was playing Stella Blade and Dragonball Soarkling Blast! :) (> 3 Months ago)

Commented on 2008-03-17 18:14:03Gears is/was all gimmick with a thick layer of incompetent lazy programming to swallow. It came out when this next generation of gaming consoles were starved for anything pretty (next gen). It's the gaming equivalent of corporate marketing flash without any substance. It was all graphics & ultra violence shock. It wasn't even original, for one it stole from Namco's Kill Switch with a passion, for one. Was it fun? Yeah, for as long as it took to see it was shallow and incompetently programmed. Did it have some good ideas? Yeah, but they weren't all original.
So after playing it for as long as I did, and I'm still shocked I allowed myself to be punished daily for so long just to hang with pals who now know better. Thank you Call of Duty 4. You might not be 110% perfect but damn you're close.
But regardless, your arguments are for the most part based on YOUR personal opinion(s) and preference(s) with a nice dose of biasness. You're attempts of stereotyping people who disagree with your opinions, that appear to be based on a lack of gaming history, biased preference and immaturity, are in my OPINION, those of an under aged playground debater. Try bringing some facts or at the very least plausible and reasonable personal opinions before running around here like an emperor with no cloths.
No one here seems to have played this game, including you. So think about what you're truly basing your comments on. I know that it's super possible to know if a game sucks before ever playing a game by reading behind the lines in reviews and seeing game play footage for sure, but you're basing your argument on PERSONAL OPINION and then when the heat is on here comes the ol' REVIEWS & SCORES defense. I mean really guy, think about it. How are we or anyone going to take your opinions and views seriously when you'll flip flop and/or be a rude immature derogatory categorizer of people who feel differently?
In closing my rant, nothing is new anymore anyway. Gears borrowed from Kill Switch for one example as Dark Sector borrowed from Krull. If something works it works, when it doesn't it doesn't. Everyone who creates takes chances. This game deserves at least a rental's chance. And I owe that knowledge to many, one being Gears of War.

Commented on 2008-03-17 23:01:56As for the game, I liked the setting in the tech demo. As soon as I saw what this game became I was worried. It's going to flop. Nothing is speaking for it. Even if it was a great game, it will flop without the hype machine.Prince of Persia: Sands of time <3
edit: made it a bit more polite :P

Commented on 2008-03-19 18:37:06I dont know what it is.. but I really like Sci Fi themed games.... so when they changed their direction with this game (tech demo or not.. they changed the game direction) I kinda lost interest.. but thats just me...
Oh and about the discussion going on.. c'mon guys we all got our opinions... we all like different games...
Dark sector wont be a mainstream hit.. but I do think it still has some potential.
Commented on 2008-03-19 19:32:52The MP is tacked on, decent SP, maybe short, fun gameplay, and thats it.
And I am being honest here, it will be another Timeshift or The Darkness, I personally dont expect a "mainstream hit", but a sleeper hit like Timeshift and The Darkness is more like it.
Mixed bag game if you wanna call it.
I for one will get it and hope for the best and enjoy it and complete it, but then I decide if it is a keeper or not.
If not, I will return it and get my money back and wait for my next wanted game to come out, simple.
