Xbox 360 PS3

This game has come a long way since the announcement a couple of years back, but D3 Publisher and Digital Extremes are now ready to release Dark Sector on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 at the end of this month. Today we have a trailer, showing some gameplay elements from the game.

LOL, you guys up there are a riot. Who knew so many people could be so insanely wrong? Quite baffling! Lucky for everyone else, you few, whether you be girls/emos/n00bs/ps3 fanboys/Gears-haters etc. etc. only represent a very small portion of the gaming market. I'll just let the unanimous scores speak for themselves. :) Now enough of this mindless banter. Let us all get back to pretending this emo Hayden guy with his gimmick blade and Gears cover system and roadie run is better than Gears itself! (but I know, it's not try to be Gears, even tho the devs said they changed it to become more appealing like the other games (GEARS) which were selling well. I know. I know.)
Getpwned, I've read your posts here and can only fearfully imagine what you ridiculously think you know is a good solid game when you campaign for such a Corporate money whore game as Gears of War was/is.

Gears is/was all gimmick with a thick layer of incompetent lazy programming to swallow. It came out when this next generation of gaming consoles were starved for anything pretty (next gen). It's the gaming equivalent of corporate marketing flash without any substance. It was all graphics & ultra violence shock. It wasn't even original, for one it stole from Namco's Kill Switch with a passion, for one. Was it fun? Yeah, for as long as it took to see it was shallow and incompetently programmed. Did it have some good ideas? Yeah, but they weren't all original.

So after playing it for as long as I did, and I'm still shocked I allowed myself to be punished daily for so long just to hang with pals who now know better. Thank you Call of Duty 4. You might not be 110% perfect but damn you're close.

But regardless, your arguments are for the most part based on YOUR personal opinion(s) and preference(s) with a nice dose of biasness. You're attempts of stereotyping people who disagree with your opinions, that appear to be based on a lack of gaming history, biased preference and immaturity, are in my OPINION, those of an under aged playground debater. Try bringing some facts or at the very least plausible and reasonable personal opinions before running around here like an emperor with no cloths.

No one here seems to have played this game, including you. So think about what you're truly basing your comments on. I know that it's super possible to know if a game sucks before ever playing a game by reading behind the lines in reviews and seeing game play footage for sure, but you're basing your argument on PERSONAL OPINION and then when the heat is on here comes the ol' REVIEWS & SCORES defense. I mean really guy, think about it. How are we or anyone going to take your opinions and views seriously when you'll flip flop and/or be a rude immature derogatory categorizer of people who feel differently?

In closing my rant, nothing is new anymore anyway. Gears borrowed from Kill Switch for one example as Dark Sector borrowed from Krull. If something works it works, when it doesn't it doesn't. Everyone who creates takes chances. This game deserves at least a rental's chance. And I owe that knowledge to many, one being Gears of War.

You're probably right.
He has a hard time to understand that people around the word don't have the same opinion as him, and that they actually like a game he don't is hard to believe.

My advice is just not make any comments to him, maybe he will go away *there is no monster, there is no monster* hehe.

Sath's opinion is "biased" and pwn-guy is just arrogantly expressing his opinion (IMHO!). I, like Sath, have too believed in a game eventually flopped. I think both have just opinions and that's that. No reason to get into a retarded internet-debate.

As for the game, I liked the setting in the tech demo. As soon as I saw what this game became I was worried. It's going to flop. Nothing is speaking for it. Even if it was a great game, it will flop without the hype machine.Prince of Persia: Sands of time <3

edit: made it a bit more polite :P

Sorry Sath, but I think you being close to the game's developers and being hyped about it from the start has made you blindish of the end result. BUUUUUT if it's a good game, thumbs up! I will buy it if it gets score around nineish. :p

So just because I talked to one of the game devs to tell them how to send me the free swag for 2 days I am accused as a fanboy?

I have already said why I like the game soI dont want to repeat myself. If you still don't understand why, then it is your problem, not mine.

Whahah this is a great topic! Truth is I was kinda looking forward to this game.. untill they changed it...

I dont know what it is.. but I really like Sci Fi themed games.... so when they changed their direction with this game (tech demo or not.. they changed the game direction) I kinda lost interest.. but thats just me...

Oh and about the discussion going on.. c'mon guys we all got our opinions... we all like different games...
Dark sector wont be a mainstream hit.. but I do think it still has some potential.

I think Dark Sector will be another The Darkness, meaning a sleeper hit for those "fans".
The MP is tacked on, decent SP, maybe short, fun gameplay, and thats it.

And I am being honest here, it will be another Timeshift or The Darkness, I personally dont expect a "mainstream hit", but a sleeper hit like Timeshift and The Darkness is more like it.

Mixed bag game if you wanna call it.

I for one will get it and hope for the best and enjoy it and complete it, but then I decide if it is a keeper or not.
If not, I will return it and get my money back and wait for my next wanted game to come out, simple.

Glad I could be of service. It's not just here, though. Places like N4G and others are exploding with a new wave of sony fanboys more determined and blind than ever. They have no reason about them. Hating on Gears? Come on. That's a laugh. We both know it.
