no, slowing down the game, is slowing down the game. i see that as basically breaking the game, not making the controls more "console friendly". battlefield on consoles has always been slow and plodding, dont know if they're using the halo method a little too much or whether they feel consoles gamers cant cope with the normal speed. either way it sucks.

I don't think it's Modern Combat 2 either. Lots more focus on SP and story this one, whether it turns out good or bad...
The game design reminds me a lot of MC. The fact that there's a campaign certainly makes it different, but I think the MP will be very simular, with the addition of new mechanics like destructible environments.

Slowing down the game is adjusting its controls for consoles. There's a reason that Halo works so well on consoles--and it's precisely why UT3 for PS3 is slower than the PC version. When it's more difficult to snap your look movement, you either get drenched in aim assists like camera adhesion, or you wind up with a slower game so far as movement speed goes.

And hey, at least you can sprint in BF.

And the game looks interesting, but again, it's DICE, and their past games - mainly BF2, was utter shit when it came to realistic accuracy, damage and all around teamplay and tactics. - Ill wait to rent it, it looks like just another 'Who can get to the vehicle first' game.

It happens. People payed to get into the Halo 3 beta.. hell.. I joined File Planet so I could participate in the 2142 beta. BF2 isn't utter shit, but infantry combat in BF is.. different.. hit detection was.. wacky.. but you could still be very effective on your feet.

What the hell? Is the fence exploding when the tank runs through it? Apart from that, the game looks great! Been playing BF2 on PC for some time. So this should be a lot of fun!
