Update: 1 image added, and previous ones in 1080p. Release planned "this fall".

The fact that this has more comments than GTA IV proves why it exists: popularity.
Controversy creates cash...always.See it as a bussiness not as game and then you get the answers.

It's just the whole idea of this mong fighting in Iraq, when good men and women are over there doing the best they can, it just looks to me that he is saying that if he was over there he could do a better job, which I find out of order, no matter what people think about Iraq, this penis should not be jumping on the wagon to pimp himself out to sell himself, business, or not, it's just WRONG

Rap is art. 50 is an artist. You may not like his art, but you can't just spout hate on everything he does and not expect to called biased/racist. For Example, The Governator has "portrayed a bad-ass in 98% of his art. He is featured in sub-standard games and no one is screaming to the heavens for those games to go away. If bad ass Sly made a crappy Rocky game again, no one would spend hours on the forums talking about how much he sucks/cant act/acts tough etc. We'd all just ignore it.The sad part about some of you guys comments is that they have a strong racist undertone and you probably don't even consider it racism. I wonder how some of you would act if the Hip-Hop community lashed out at games featuring white artists, like GHIII, and constantly belittled the work of the game makers and artists featured. I will buy any game that's good, no matter what/who/where/when its about. I'm no closet racist.

50's rap is not art. His flow is garbage and his lyrics are a joke. The only reason he is famous is because there are a lot of idiots in the world.

Seriously, do you honestly think that this game will be good and that the only reason people would be skeptical is that they are racist?
Epic. Fail.

So, rap doesn't almost exclusively represent young blacks? I guess country music doesn't almost exclusively represent southern US white men. Rap as an art form has been attacked on all fronts since its inception. Why? Rock n Roll was treated the same, and was originally a black dominated art form. So was Jazz, RnB, and country bluegrass. All originated with black artists and all credited with the future downfall of polite society. I am not blind, I have been on these sites/forums for many years(not just this one). I have witnessed the outpouring of concern/angst/hate/disdain over all music/film/games that feature a less than savory black character. I have also seen other games/movies/music from other artists criticized, but never EVER to the extent that people will take the criticism of a game like this. You can talk ad length about how its not race, but outside of that, what could motivate so much hatred. I don't remember Mary Kate and Ashley's games getting this much heat. They suck too. There were no multi-paged threads about Kiss should have never lent their names to that horrid game.No one said kids will want to be "gangster" after playing the Scarface Game. BTW, that movie did more for the drug culture than any rapper to date. But I know, you all just really dont like 50 cent. He shouldn't be allowed to exploit the image of terrorism. He's not fox news afterall.

It's already been mentioned, but this is a completely RIDICULOUS way to use a license(one that is NOT suited for video games). And yes, Aerosmith and KISS were stupid licenses too(not the GH Aerosmith one however). It's not fucking racist to think so...don't be such a drama queen.

You'd better not blame me for my comment as I didn't say anything wrong. I didn't even remotely imply that everyone who listens to rap/hip-hop is a "thug," but I'm adamant that it's not stereotyping to say that plenty of the listeners are. And it really wouldn't bother me so much if they didn't take it so seriously.
I went to high school with this imbecile who, with the help of his "posse," tried picking a fight with my friend because my friend sat in his seat on the bus. Yup..he just sat in his seat. That's it. The imbecile in question said that my friend was "disrespectin' " and "frontin'." Now, I'm not saying it's the music's fault, but that thug-life bullshit certainly doesn't help. I mean, I've never heard of East Coast and West Coast feuds forming between rock bands that erupt into drive-by shootings.
Once again, I'm not saying the music necessarily has anything to do with it, but the image projected by some of these rappers seems to perpetuate the idea that being a "hard" thug is glamourous and certainly doesn't dissuade people from following what they think is the same path. The aforementioned imbecile wasn't raised in "da hood" or anything like that; he was a white guy from a small farming town.

I will say this....
This topic didn't deserve 90+ comments or as much of an emotional investment as has been demonstrated by it's participants. That being said, some of the responses in this topic have been spot on. There have indeed been hints of race baiting in some comments, but the real question is why? The reason is so plain and simple.
50 Cent II is being made because the first game went platinum.
That's it. No other reason.
The discussions on race, popular culture, the relevance of rap and hip hop as a musical art form and other comments normally are never needed to put a game like 50 Cent II in it's proper perspective as a gaming experience.
Normally gamers here will sound off in the usual fashion...
"Doesn't look good"
"I won't be buying this"
But strangely that didn't happen in this topic. Instead, some (rather passionately) veered off message and produced the 4 page discussion we have right now.
Let this topic die people

/shrug honestly, some people said they dont like the game, nor 50, and so the knee-jerk you're a racist flag went up. I personaly dont care for a large part of hip/hop and rap, and the culture associated. this is not because i dont like black people or some nonsense like that. its simply this:
i dont approve of the degenerate nonsense that gets spewed. songs about women being sex-objects, songs about killing police, songs about how bad-ass it is to be "thuggin" "pimppin" and other such bullshit. What sane person would consider such dross a posetive influence. its the same reason i dont like bands like maryln manson(white), insane clown posse(white), etc. the culture has NOTHING to do with it.
in response to grim, well bud, your probably right, but there is an insane rash of thats racist bullshit that goes on, and i hate people throwing that out there whenever a minority is involved. people said the game was crap, others accused us of being racist, that shit doesnt fly, and i get pretty damn defensive, as do other people. Racism is...fuck, im tired of explaining this. Get a damn brain people!!!!!! stop flipping the race card over trife, everyone is so damn sensetive about being racist, they go extreme into the other direction! ok, im done

Personally i think the game looks pretty good. Looks very Kill Switch meets Full Spectrum Warrorish graphics.
As for 50 Cent, I can't think of a cleverer businessman in recent times. 6 pics of his game get shown and all these comments on one forum? I'm not surprised the last game sold.
It doesn't matter if you hate it or love it, all publicity is good publicity. Look at Manhunt.
I think jeenyus was the only one to hit the nail on the head, while the rest of you bickered over nothing.
It is a game made to cash in, just like all the brain training spin offs and all the need for speeds that have come and gone.
What makes this one stand out is that 50 Cent is a phenomenonally well marketed product.
Do you really and truly think that 50 Cent acts like 50 Cent 24 hours a day? He got rich by making himself a product. He may not be the best rapper/artist in the world, but he definitely knows how to sell himself.
Type in 50 cent in Google and see how many links, fan sites and news items you find on this one guy.
If you ask me, I'm surprised he hasn't made more games.
If it plays anything like the last one, then its gonna be a stinker, but don't knock the hustle unless you can come up with something better.
Remember, he is a multimillionaire business man first, not a thug. Don't fall victim to the hype.
