Rap is art. 50 is an artist. You may not like his art, but you can't just spout hate on everything he does and not expect to called biased/racist. For Example, The Governator has "portrayed a bad-ass in 98% of his art. He is featured in sub-standard games and no one is screaming to the heavens for those games to go away. If bad ass Sly made a crappy Rocky game again, no one would spend hours on the forums talking about how much he sucks/cant act/acts tough etc. We'd all just ignore it.The sad part about some of you guys comments is that they have a strong racist undertone and you probably don't even consider it racism. hip hop as it is known now all around the world is nothing but an idendity trend created to market expensive garbage to children. as nearly every youth subculture before it got commercialized. thats a good thing because it generates cash flow for the worldwide industry and is good for our economy. in a few years from now something new will be around and we will have to suffer from new trash again.

You do know that "Hip-Hop" and "Rap" aren't races right? If someone dislikes 50 Cent because they can't stand his "music," it has nothing to do with race. I can't stand Eminem's garbage, does that mean I have a hate on for white people? Let's broaden it up a bit. I pretty much can't stand any of that hip-hop, thug life nonsense. It has nothing to do with that garbage war. They were putting on a show in the middle east. Iraq does not account for the entire middle east, last I checked. Desert Combat has been big news in video games for years because it's the popular local for modern combat. Deal.

This topic didn't deserve 90+ comments or as much of an emotional investment as has been demonstrated by it's participants. That being said, some of the responses in this topic have been spot on. There have indeed been hints of race baiting in some comments, but the real question is why? The reason is so plain and simple.

50 Cent II is being made because the first game went platinum.

That's it. No other reason.

The discussions on race, popular culture, the relevance of rap and hip hop as a musical art form and other comments normally are never needed to put a game like 50 Cent II in it's proper perspective as a gaming experience.

Normally gamers here will sound off in the usual fashion...

"Doesn't look good"

"I won't be buying this"

As for 50 Cent, I can't think of a cleverer businessman in recent times. 6 pics of his game get shown and all these comments on one forum? I'm not surprised the last game sold.

I don't think there's anything clever about 50 Cent at all to be honest.  And sure, there are a lot of comments, but most are about how ridiculous this game looks, and most people won't buy it.  I'm not surprised the last one sold because there are a lot of 13 y/o consumer whores out there who really don't know shit about gaming.

Again, what's your point.  That makes me dislike him even more.  Getting famous because of marketing and not talent is why you can't listen to the radio anymore these days.  He really shouldn't be commended and certainly shouldn't be given a game for it.
