Vivendi has released some new images from Prototype, which really convinced me during GDC that the game can be something good - just check out the cool gameplay videos from the expo! The developers recently announced that the game's multiplayer part unfortunately has been completely removed. The game is planned for a release this year.

i think this game will be awesome in gameplay, but its hard to say if it can even compete against saints row and GTA if i doesn't have multiplayer. its going to have to have a lot of content in it thats worth playing if its going to have a chance. yeah the gameplay looks awesome, but thats what we said wen we saw assassins creed. it was really fun at first, then it just got boring.

I'm actually really happy that there is no multiplayer! :D I hate the whole trend of tacking on multiplayer to games that don't need it at all.
