They had better not pull another one of those "Your character is a video game character" plot twists.

Star Ocean is exclusive for PS3.

Infinte Undiscovery is exclusive for 360.
That's rumour, it's never been announced.

I don't mind, in any event you gotta give them credit for creativity :P plus it was something not to be expected what so ever :)

I actually enjoyed that plot :P

Your character was a video game character ? it wasn't as simple as that.

I know it wasn't as simple as that, but that is the general gist.

Er, not really. Maybe just one plot point, but nothing that would break your experience with the game.

Star Ocean 4 has BETTER graphics, then Infinte Undiscovery, and we know, that FFXIII looks awesome on PS3, so there is a BIG probability, that SO4 is exclusive for PS3. =)

I guess you are someone who still thinks that CGI sequences are ingame graphics hu?
Ever seen a high resolution ingame screenshot of Star Ocean 4? - I wonder because there is not even one available! But it has better graphics than IU anyway? - Epic fail…

LOL so is that your round about way of saying PS3 has better graphics than the 360, cause many games would counter that statement.

As above says, there are no actual in game shots of SO4 the scans above are mostly CGI perhaps with some in game but thats debatable as they are too small to tell.

nothing interesting yet...well setting looks nice, but no game to get interested in yet. I doubt any is ingame...the 'battle scenes' look much better than IU from the shitty scans...though this could be shitty scans, or more probably just CGI

I wouldn't be surprised if this is multiplatform, but i think ign and other places stating this is a PS3 exclusive is due to there being a Star Ocean 4 footage dvd bundled to those that preordered the PSP Star Ocean game

Gamespot, IGN and 1up have it listed only under PS3. Are they just guessing or do they know something we don't?
To answer both of you-

SquareEnix already tipped their own hand when last year they placed job openings for 3D modelers, programmers and designers to work on two "RPG projects" for what was at the time an unnamed developer. We now know that the developer is Tri-Ace. Both games at the time were described as "the latest entry in a famous fantasy RPG series and a new fantasy rpg".

Both RPGs were then listed for the Xbox360 platform and the job location mentioned was in the Ooimachi area, exactly where Tri-Ace studio is located.

Pretty easy to connect the dots for Infinite Undiscovery and Star Ocean 4.

This message is in "Boulet Time" (TM), If you still *really* want to see it, click here
Star Ocean 4 was announced on Star Ocean First Departure UMD in japan.

So this make it guarenteed to be a PS3 game.

First, Sony own UMD, they would never let another company like Microsoft and Nintendo put a trailer for their game.

Face it, look at Star Ocean 4 and Infinite Undiscovery and clearly Star Ocean 4 graphics surpass by far Infinite Undiscovery.

Beside, only a blu-ray disc has enough capacity to handle all those CG.

Also, 360 in japan is selling really poorly, no matter how much money M$ would give Tri-Ace, they'd rather sell more games in japan and make more money.

Also, the Blu-Ray won the war and the sells of PS3 each month are on par with the wii and catching up with 360 sells.

Face it, Microsoft not only do buggy OS, but their consoles fails and it's time people understand that. 360 just need to die and be buried like it should.

Once more without fanboy feeling?

You start off making a good argument about the UMD trailer, but we've seen no in game footage of SO4 so your frothing at the mouth suggesting the game looks better than UI is completely without merit. Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey are both reasonably CG heavy so that's another flawed point of yours.

I think PS3 is a given, but ruling out multiplatform with your brand of ignorance will prolly just end up in a ban. :|
