awesome, by the end of the year buying a ps3 would be taking on a whole new meaning, home, mgs4, LBP, glorious resistance 2, killzone 2, GTA4, wipeoutHD, FFXIII, GT5P, tekken 6, haze, motorstorm 2, plus so much more.

Really want in-game XMB with background messages, music..etc.
Hopefully Sony adds that soon.

Hey what he hell, Euro version doesn't have Demos etc section, you just pick a genre and try to find the demos through there- Big pain in the ass :(

I got the update a few hours ago- I really like the way they laid it out... but DAMN is it slow! It took over a minute to load the FIRST image of the GT trailer up- almost 3 minutes to load all the other images on that page alone. Really terrible speed. The text appears, so you can work around, but the images take forever. I hope when I go back- they're still loaded in the cache or something.

Nice update though- if they get it working 29x faster.

definitely is an improvement over the old web based one. Navigating and the initial load up is a lot faster, but they still got some bugs to work out(loading images). Now bring on Thursday so I can purchase GT5P and download the MGO beta.

Gotta wait until 17th to play it though, but hey I am with you. As soon as it is ready to be downloaded, I am downloading the sucker and waiting for the 17th to play it :)
Good thing they gave us Europeans the advantage on the beta, no beta code needed, download and play.

i thought it was the 21st? They just make it available for d/l on the 17th don't they, but they servers won't go live till the following Monday?

Yeah, that's lame indeed. They can do this for the US version, so why not implement this INCREDIBLY SIMPLE LITTLE thing for the EU version aswell. :|

Otherwise, it's looking cool. Can't say if I prefer either this or 360's. Both seem to get the job done, sans some minor annoyances...

I'm loving this more than the marketplace for sure. It has the same problems though. Slow ass loading.

So in Europe we get:

1. No Demo tab
2. No preview option
3. General disorganisation
4. No fancy bleeping
5. Slower image loading (So ive heard)

Just watched the videos and wow...Snoopers your connection seems to be terrible, mine is pretty fast compared to yours, I wait 1 second or less for all the icons to appear and thats on the US store, the UK store and Japanese store.

I love the store, it's slick and so much faster plus it's super easy to navigate...I think it's miles better then the Microsoft's offerings too.

the images are much quicker today, really slick, no page loading, easy to use, needs a demo tag or ps3 tag with a demo sub menu.

now I need MGO and hope you can do some training off-line before the start date.

I don't think that's possible, though it would be nice.
