After the trailer, here come the images ! Namco-Bandai is on fire and releases no less than thirty-three screenshots of Soul Calibur IV, showcasing lots of characters and especially a new female fighter named Angol Fear, with a quite, hum, unexpected design.
Update: Added 25 artworks of the game's characters.

Though I would really like to play Vader on the 360... By the way has a european release date been announced?

The developer said there are more soul calibur series characters to be revealed. So hang in there, she might just make it!

Okay.. so I WTF'ed when I suddenly saw Darth Vader. WHAT THE!? But his helmet does look shiny 'n 'plasticy' real. :P

Obviously the PS3 screenshots are definitely the ones with Darth Vader in and the 360 ones feature Yoda. On that basis, the PS3 screenshots look a touch jaggier to me - look at Darth Vader's boot for example - but otherwise they both look terrific and virtually identical.

I've decided to pre-order the Xbox 360 version because I prefer its controller (I play the Soulcalibur games with the analogue stick so the poorer D-pad doesn't matter here). I would have preferred Darth Vader as the bonus character though but hopefully each console will get the other's character as DLC at some point.

This game has 30 characters though I don't know if that includes Vader and Yoda, but even including them we still have at least 3 characters we don't know about, so Talim could be back.

I find Yoda to fit in the universe much better than the 2 new characters do.

Let's hope there is a mode where you can earn new weapons and play with them in story mode (like a poison sword, a critical sword, a double sized sword and the likes of soul edge), so that we are not forced to play with the horrible light saber.
